You can convert and be a full jew. No shaving head required (?). And no, the zohar is a terrible place to start learning (most jews never study zohar).
what you should do:
Call an orthodox rabbi (try chabad)
Learn about judaism (try aish.com)
Be sure you want to convert. You may want to look into noahidism first.

In basically approximately all communities, Jews welcome converts with open palms. because I even have converted, I even have felt respected and enjoyed by utilising my community. it somewhat is referred to as truthfully no longer directly to point out that somebody is a convert - as quickly as you exchange, you're as Jewish as everyone else. the only exception, to the main suitable of my wisdom and experience, is an quite few intense Chassidic communities. until eventually you're making plans to get entangled with that some distance end of Judaism, you will have not have been given any situation. you in all probability already be conscious of that on your conversion to be everyday by utilising all branches of Judaism, it may must be an Orthodox conversion, yet once you're greater interested in Reform or Reconstructionist or in spite of, choose for it - for people who fall in love with an Orthodox Jewish guy, you need to consistently undergo that greater advantageous conversion and it does no longer take lots in case you're able to already achieved a intense Reform conversion (contained in the united kingdom, it somewhat is diverse from the U. S., so i don't be conscious of each and every of the component of ways diverse Reform and Orthodox may well be; contained in the united kingdom, it somewhat is somewhat no longer so distinctly diverse honestly, even nevertheless Orthodox Jews do see some enormous ameliorations). Oh, and in case you opt to transform, you will discover a lot of human beings at right here who could be greater advantageous than chuffed to assist you and answer any questions you have - i be conscious of the finished community right here (Orthodox, Chassidic, Reform, Reconstructionist) could welcome you. EDIT: i need to be incorrect approximately there being some small intense communities who do no longer settle for converts. that's hearsay and that i've got not got a source. EDIT 2: thank you, Michelle - now I comprehend.

Yes, anybody can convert. Only Orthodox conversions are widely recognized. www.aish.com has a great Jewish content website, as well as a great "beginner's college". They have a great recommended book list, too split by different topics: http://www.aish.com/literacy/reference/Recommended_Books.asp
Judaism forbids missionarizing and does not encourage conversions. Unlike Christianity, Judaism believes you can be righteous without being of the faith.

You can convert to Judaism. There is a pretty good book by Maurice Lamm called "Becoming A Jew" which is all about conversion.
For good introductions to Judaism, I recommend, "To Be A Jew" by Hayim Halevy Donin and "This is My God" by Herman Wouk. Other good ones are, "On Judaism" by Emanuel Feldman, and those little books by Aryeh Kaplan on various topics, such as the Sabbath, Jerusalem, God, etc.

The best way to learn about Judaism is to go to a Rabbi and ask him about it.
What POKI POKI and Marcus R. wrote is nonsense. Judaism accepts all its followers. By converting to Judaism you will be a Jewish person in all senses. And obviesly, you don't have to shave anything (?).

It is possible to convert to Juddaism. I would recommed finding a Jewish Synogauge and speaking to the Rabbi, if this is something you are seriously considering. If you are just looking for information before all of this, just go to your local bookstore (or library) and go to the religion sections. You will find books. This site, is a informative site about Judaism : http://www.jewfaq.org/toc.htm. And here is just one site about conversion : http://judaism.about.com/od/conversiontojudaism/

1. It'll take several years
2. You have to cut the skin off ur penis
3. You can never eat bacon or cheeseburgers
4. You can't work (at all (not even tear tissue)) on Saturdays.
So basically you don't wanna do it. But if you insist read the Old Testament and the Talmud.
I recommend the New Testament personally but whatever floats ur boat.
