I got my tongue pierced in january and it hurt so bad when it was healing for the first 2 weeks and I regreted getting it. now I still regret it because it is kind of annoying sometimes and if you want to use it for oral sex it really isnt that good. definitely not worth the money and pain. but if you do get it pierced, take ibuprofen every few hours and try to eat jello or cold things for a while and not very tough things to chew like steak. you will bite on the ball occasionally so it is good to get plastic ones so they wont break your teeth. just make sure to clean it properly and go to a reputable place to get it pierced. well have fun!

OUCH!!!!!!!!! You really wanna know what you can do for it, that is Not to do it at all!!!! The risk of your tounge becoming infected is fairly high, and that in itself would be so very painful. Getting the heebie jeebies just think'n about a needle going right thru that part of the body!!!!! Hope you really think it over before you go get it done.....good luck!

I had mine done and someone on here said it gets infected that's wrong I've had mine for 5 years and it has never got infected; my son got his done last year and his has never become infected. Remember to not yank when they poke through and eat lots of ice afterwards and gargle with mouthwash (listerne is the best-- tastes gross but helps with the healing). Good luck; it's kind of like biting your tongue it just doesn't last as long as the pain from biting ur tongue.

Seriously reconsider. The stud can cause tooth and mouth tissue damage. (which require pricey fixes), If you have to pierce something try a nipple. Then take two aspirins and call me in the morning. (or evening, after the swelling subsides.)
A nipple ring is very alluring.

there really isnt anything you can do before you get it pierced to help with the pain. afterwards though it should only hurt for about a week and i would suggest eating soft foods until you get used to it.

Don't do it. Yeah..that's about it. Just make sure you don't have a metal ball on the jewery...that can and will break your teeth over time. Make sure you clean it well...do whatever they say to do because your mouth is full of germs/bacteria all the time. Infections would be bad.

I wouldn't recommend doing it, its disgusting, and my friend came down with a bad infection when she got it done and it landed her in the hospital, it's really not worth it and very unattractive. Hope I helped!
