lindsay lohan wants to go to iraq?

has anyone heard this crap? lindsay lohan wants to go to iraq to entertain the troops? how much more of an attention whore can she be? i guess she thinks it will make people respect her by doing that. i really don't believe she gives two sh-its about american soldiers in iraq. she just wants to improve her image since she's always getting bad press. it's f-ucking disgusting.

I think you said it perfectly. "Attention whore" is exactly what i'd call her. She doesn't care about the soldiers defending her @ss and they could really care less about her. My husband is over there and when i told him about this, he was disgusted. Over there they dont want some skanky girl prancing around on stage singing about how her daddy left her, or whatever. If she wants to entertain the troops, she should just pose naked for Playboy now, and get it over with.

I've never really respected Lindsay Lohan...she does keep some really bad company- Paris Hilton, etc. After I saw this question (I had no idea she wanted to do that, because I really don't pay attention to Hollywood...they could fall off the country :) ...and I wouldn't care in the least bit) However, I read her reason for wanting to go....it just doesn't add up (publicity maybe)...does she even know what the war is about or what war actually is? Won't she only be in the way?

I looked online (site listed below) and she said a few things that didn't even sound like a support for..anyone, except herself....

"It's so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be." She was referring to Marilyn Monroe. A pinup? Just take naked pictures and have them sent to Iraq right? Except for her being a female (and pretty entertaining to males), she really isn't a talented musician (in my opinion...which doesn't count lol).

She also said this...
"I'm not afraid of going," she said. "My security guard is going to take me to a gun range when I get back to L.A., and I'm going to start taking shooting lessons. He says if I'm going to go there I should really know how to shoot. Yeah, I have a dark side. I watched all those videos on Charles Manson for a while." Hmmmm...Charles Manson videos and her dark side are going to save her ***.

I don't know...I mean if it's a publicity thing...who knows....not my choice to make, but it really seems that she is just going there to show her ***...literally.

Well personally I have nothing against her, but then again is she trying to get herself killed??? Now is not the time to go "showing support". The Yank, Iraqi and Allied forces have enough problems already the last thing they need is to divert resources (even if small) to provide security for Lindsay and entourage (im sure the Islamist freaks will jump at the chance to cause yet another high profile hit). In this case then she is loony and must be locked up in some asylum for her own safety (and coincidentally our own (mental) safety and that of the troops in Iraq).

Better if Lindsay were to donate her vast sums of cash to any troop support org or group than to go galivanting into some crazy half-baked publicity stunt with the potential for a disaster. Or even better she should give up her celeb career/life and sign up w/the US Marines and Army (i know its stupid and unlikely...im trying to hold back laughing myself)

To NONAME...she's just some overpublicized celeb/actress/music artist w/typical celeb background (broken family, drug and other scandals, etc...)...go figure the rest

I thought this was a joke! She a little btch. She does not belong over there maby in Hollywood. I bet if you were to make a poll for service members the majority wont want her there she will just be a distraction. But thank the new york senator clinton she is helping her get her field trip over there what a baby. And why is she training to shoot a gun, she is acting like if shes going over there to fight the insurgency. I think celebritys shouldnt be allowed to even travel to a war zone. If they get hurt the tax payers pay there medical bill that means you pay her expences. If the senator helps her go to iraq i hope if she runs for president that way i could shatter her dreams of becoming leader of the free world. The only thing the troops want is to see there family not a h o o k e r like lohan.

I couldnt disagree more. You have no facts or any real insight on why she wants to go over there. If you ever hear anyone in the movie business talk about her they always have great things to say about her. Regardless of what the reason is, the troops will enjoy it. Shouldnt that be all that matters?

I agree with you 100%. Seriously I think our people in uniform have better things to do than make sure some prissy diva doesn't get shot. She'd probably whine that the vest and helmet were to hevey or something. Don't get me wrong I do love when celebraties go to Iraq on USO tours though. I just think she'd be a waste of space. (I know that my hubby loves it. He got to meet Robin Williams one time)

I agree....I don't dislike the girl but what has she done to be considered a serious actress? Not much! Also, how would she be entertaining the troops? I hope not by her singing or dancing because there is not much to expect there.

In my opinion a better choice would be christina aguilera.

I agree completely. Maybe she wants to prove to herself that she's a 'sex symbol'. Maybe instead of going over there and pretending that she can sing, she could take a couple of her millions and buy some dvd players and stuff for the soldiers.

Why are you getting so upset about it? Who cares where she is or what she does? I don't believe in the "celebrity" thing. Good actors, singers, etc are due some adulation, but a $20 mil paycheck for 3 months work is thanks enough!
