if you are lucky enough to live that long you can get yours done too. if you study old age and hair you would understand why they do it.

I'm 34 and had my hair permed last year, as I did since I was about 16, I'm just now letting it all grow out. You don't see many girls/women with curly hair as much lately, or is it just me? I suppose straight hair is more in fashion. Personally, I think curly hair is much prettier to look at than just straight/wavy, but I'm letting my go straight just to make my life a little easier perhaps.

Women of color get their hair permed but it actually called a Relaxer because it relaxes the curl pattern to make it straight. It beats putting a hot comb through your hair.

Yes a LOT of people get their hair permed. & they aren't old either. I've done quite a few perms on teens & young women, & they look really nice too.

i like the natural look. i don't perm my hair, because it has a natural wave, and because i don't like the dead frizzy look i see on my friends who do have their hair permed. i don't understand why people are always trying to change the look they were born to have. different is good, soft is good.

Yea, I know many people! What kind of dumb question is that? Don't be rude to those who do get perms.
