kids that young shouldn't be worried about losing weight, They're not done growing and change when they get older. If it's a severe weight problem a doctor would give a medically safe diet

Stop using mayo and ketchup and fried foods and soda pop. my daughter stop using those kinds of food and she walk for 30 minutes, dance, and karate and she lost 10 lbs a week. She also ate more fruits and drank A LOT of WATER. so try those things and see what happens. GOOD LUCK

use the freezer to add some extra oomph to summer foods freeze grapes for some bite sized delights or get a popsicle mold and freeze some greek yogurt with berries

Plenty of sport involving cardio.
Soccer is great.
Also, eat less fatty foods. As for meat, try perhaps chicken.

just cut out ALL JUNK FOOD including pop, chips, fast food and candy. You will see a difference right of way plus exercise is really good for any kid.
