I don't fear death. I fear the pain it will cause my loved ones; I fear my children or husband will die before me and I will wish I had gone too. I fear that there IS a God and that I doubt he exists some of the time. Although I am a good person and follow the 10 commandments (those are pretty well the mortal sins...the venial ones God will forgive) I try to make a difference and set good standards and values for my children and help other children and people who need guidance, love or a helping hand. We will all be dead in a hundred years and a new generation will be born. Wonder what they would think of what we left them??

not apparently, it IS the words of Jesus.
it means don't fear death, because if you are ready to go to heaven, you have nothing to fear. but beware of false preachers/teachers that can mis-guide you into hell, fear those more than death.. because they can lead you astray. but God does know those people who are his, (like the sparrows) he knows his creation, and even though he is rejected by some, he still doesn't forget them.
do I fear death?, no.. not in the least.

There ya go... you see, I created my own God. My God does not have a huge self-esteem problem. My God does not need anyone to believe in my God, not even me. My God will not severely abuse me (or anyone) if I do not believe in my God. My God is well centered. Dang, I do not know enough about death to be afraid of it. I know enough about life to be afraid of it though. So many mean people telling me how I ought to be... jeez! So many on this board and elsewhere, seem to profess the "Truth". I will hang out with those that seek the truth; but avoid those like the plaque, who that have found the truth.

No because my Lord has the power over death, and He has already defeated it. And in those verses He is talking about fearing the one who can throw you into hell after you die if you are not saved.

I'm afraid of missing out on things on this earth. I know that when I die I'll go to Heaven, so that doesn't worry me. I also know that once I'm there, I won't miss here. While I'm here, though, I worry about what I will miss. I also worry about the people who love me. I don't want them to be sad. But overall, death isn't something to fear if you are a Christian.

I don't fear death ...for I know where I'm going and in whom I trust...but the process of leaving one dimension and entering into the next does bring about some anxiousness...and that is simply because I have never done it before...

No fear! Death is a birth into the next life, a life so exhuberant (spelling?), so wonderful, we can't even begin to imagine it. Saints in the next life are of the LOFTIEST station!!! No, I do not fear death at all. As for suffering, I'm praying about not fearing that either.
No fear, woohoo!!!

No I don't fear death. I don't really fear the method of dying either now - I used to. I fear the afterlife, the Hereafter....the Judgement Day.

When I was born, I was assured of one thing - Death - not the wealth I posses, Cloths, car - nothing - but death.
I remember it - I am ready any moment - what matters is the way I lived and the way I am going to live till the day I die - I am quite happy the way I have done it to now.
