I know someone who is a cutter. Get your mind off it, and do something else. If you cut deep, you need to have it checked out for infection.
Sweetie, I don't know how long you have been doing it, or how old you are, but I know it's a serious issue. If you are serious, I am very sad for the things that have happened to you to give you so much pain that you need release from.
The person I know has cut back greatly on cutting by taking half a tablet of an anti-anxiety medication prescribed by their doctor. You should get some help. You may not want to, but it's worth it. YOU are worth it.
Believer : people cut because it's an emotional release from trauma. Any cutters, or people wanting to understand cutters...there are so many books out that explain it very well.

alright. alot of these people that have posted, dont know what it feels like, or how addictive it can become. cutting is a way of relieving stress and tension, but not nescesarilly the best way. cutting isnt an easy habit to bust either, alot of people do it and cant control it or stop it. you should cut, or atleast cut until you can get some help. it may seem dumb to tell someone, but theyre only going to help you.

Honey try to think of something else like maybe chatting on the net or something to keep your mind off of it. Go grab someone and tell them that you need to get some help because you r a cutter. I finally told someone and they got me some help so that i wouldn't cut as much. Talk to your school counselor about it and they may be of some help. Try to find a support group to go to. I know how you feel honey i keep everything pent up inside and finally i cut. I needed to see a Psychiatrist and he put me on medication to control my anxiety and it has helped me, please don't cut baby ask someone for help.

Try seeing it as not an option. Use something else as an outlet like: writing in a journal, exersice, scream in a pillow or punch a pillow, or just pin point what it is that makes you feel like you have to right now and address that.

ok, to start throw away everything you use to cut with and lock up everything you can use to cut. . .or just lock ur self in ur room with nothing sharp. . .just untill you feel better
cutting is not the answer. . .maybe just call a friend (and iff you dont have a friend talk to ur parents or. . .me 303 883 5185) and talk to them. . .that allwayz helps me

I don't know if this will help you or not, but there isn't anything in the world worth cutting yourself for.

Please don't! Take a few deep breaths, wipe the tears, and tell yourself that its ok. If you are angry at someone, tell them how you feel and try to resolve everything. If this happens a lot, try to see a therapist. They can help you work things out. Breathe in, breathe out. Be calm.
