I have heard alot of anti- Christian things from many users on this site, some users say that they are Christian and spread un Christlike trash and hateful words just to make Christianity look bad, and the sad thing is people actualy believe that the users are Christian, this spreads hate towards Christians.

Here are some of the popular negative comments on Christianity:

"They are a bunch of terrorist."

"Those Christians are so stupid and ignorant, they condemn and hate others."

"those racist xstians they have always loved to start wars and their religion is worthless Bull."

"Christians are warmongerers... just look at the crussades for example"

these are just a few there are millions of others like these, do people actually feel this way towards Christians? I thought they are good people that love others, sure lots of people call themselves Christian and say hateful things but that don't mean that they are Christians I'm amazed at the hate & intolerance of people.

How many of you hate Christians?

Do you think that they are all hypocritical?

Have you ever met a real Christian?

Here is one right here.

"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."- Matthew 5:44, the Bible

I follow that teaching...

And I forgive others that hate me without cause...

many Christians accross the world are being persecuted and killed by the dozen every day in other countries....

The Romens slaughtered millions of Christians...

the Germans hunted them down in WW2...

We are persecuted everywhere, though we have it much better off in America. still anti Christian hatred goes rampant.

I know that the crussades and inqusitions were unBiblical, and I know that many of those people back then were not Christlike but they hid under the name of Christianity.
Is there anyone that can aggree with me,How can you be open minded and be hateful at once?

That's how it's always been... And really I think alot of people come on here to say rude things about Christians (or who they THINK are Christians) just out of boredom or because they have self-hatred and question what they believe. I am secure in what I believe and I don't need to put down other beliefs. You are right to follow the scripture you quoted, and that's what God wants. Everyone will have to answer for themselves one day.

I think it is a case of people growing weary of the "bad Christians" harping on how stupid people are if they don't think or believe the same way that they do. Christians are just like anyone else...there are those that are good...and those that aren't. I have grown up in the "bible-belt" in southern Mississippi and I have seen/met with just about every sect of Christian. MOST of the ones I have met weren't really interested in hearing wheather or not I DESIRED to hear their "witnessing"...they just attack without provocation spewing their beliefs and shutting out any/all other beliefs...showing nothing more than a closed mind and "self-righteous" attitude. I imagine I am not the only one who has gotten tired of hearing how stupid I am just because I don't believe every word in the BOOK known as the bible. In the USA we have the freedom of religion, which means we can practice any religion we choose or none at all...Christians need to take note of that freedom. I'm not saying that you can't "witness" to someone....but there are ways of going about it without being rude....or trying to FORCE someone to listen to you.

To each his own.

And yes, I do believe in GOD and Jesus....I just don't think the bible is all it's cracked up to be.

I once read a quote that went something like this (this isn't word for word, but close):: "I refuse to believe that the same GOD that gave us reason, intellect, and the ability to question has intended us to forego their use."

The main reason that Christianity receives so many negative reactions is that Christianity is so overwhelmingly negative to anyone who does not share that particular belief. When someone says to a Christian "I do not believe in your God", the Christian immediately goes into overdrive trying to convince the poor hapless non-believer that there is no longer any hope for them and they are doomed to an evil existance (in fact, the non-believer is evil for not believing) unless they renounce their own path to spirituality without caring whether or not the Christian is being invasive or obnoxiously pushy.
Christians have a tendency to be more annoying than the Hare-Krishna's used to be. I have had to be downright rude in order to get Baptists, Methodists, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc to understand that I would like them to GET OFF MY PORCH and NO I DO NOT WANT TO WASTE A COUPLE OF HOURS IN THEIR CHURCH or I DO NOT WISH TO GIVE THEM MONEY I NEED TO PAY MY BILLS!!!!

You know, I see lots of anti-theist stuff here. I also see anti-anything-not-Christian stuff too. It's about even Steven. I don't feel sorry for Christians because they are the majority in the West, and the Christian viewpoint is presented in all media, most literature, and in much of the arts. I believe Christians are blind to Progressive Revelation, they see nothing past what their pastors have taught them about God's word being revealed. They teach that God's revelation stopped..... PERIOD. Really, can God be stopped? I would hate to think anyone would be that arrogant as to say "yes."

For Christian haters, I don't like their comments either. If atheists want theists to be respectful to them, they can teach by example. It's a pity they should have to teach by example, for theists should already be respectful.

I'm sorry you've experienced this frustration here in Answers. I also want you and all the other Christians to realize that non-Christians get this flack and not just in Answers. In Answers alone, how many times have you seen Muslims being COMPLETELY verbally shat upon? I can't count how many times. And you know what? Almost all of it is done by so-called "good Christian brethren!"

I've been mocked for being a Baha'i. I've been called crazy, follower, terrorist, etc. Every last one of them who said stuff like this was a CHRISTIAN.

Sorry, I can't resist....

Understand that people usually attack what they don't understand or what they are afraid of.

I think most of the users on this site know that the "trash" being put out here is not coming from Christians. When I see something totally negative I just pass over it and look for the good. Afterall isn't that what we should be doing in all areas of our life.

Sometimes we ALL forget that being Christian doesn't make you perfect. We are all flawed regardless of our religion or lack of it. Because Jesus was perfect doesn't mean His followers are. We must continually work to stay on the path but we often fall. This is when we need to pick each other up not knock each other down farther

Stay strong and be an example. People will always assume and criticize. Your question reflects a profound and educated heart. All we can do is love others and live the best way we know how.
God Bless

Individually, Christians can be as nice (or jerkish) as anyone else, but when they get together in groups, they start wars and witch trials, pass asinine laws to force aspects of their religion onto everyone, invent crazy speculations they call theories and force them into public schools, they go around plastering the legal system of superstitious ancient goat herders all over public buildings, and insisting that even the money supply makes references to their god for good luck I suppose (is god really going to be fooled by that!?).

Love the deluded, hate the delusion.

All religions are the root of evil. There are bad people with or without religion. I'm an atheist and I am no bad person and no one is fighting over Atheism. I mean look at the wars of the world ,all based on religion. Makes one wonder.
