would priority mail be considered as a parcel post?

I'm confused about what is parcel, i was mailing a box approximatly 12x13x3 and it was less than 5lbs. It was also in a Priority Mail box, would that be considered as Parcel?

Your best bet would be to ask that question at the post office. My understanding is that parcel post and priority mail are two different methods of mailing something, and the cost is different, and the time frame for the receiver to get the item is different.
