Curious, yes, curious on what god-believers think of this, but all they can do is spout verses from the bible ( the new testament mind you), and bash me

The number before 1 would be -1, that is what I have learned. I have also come to reason with mathematics being the universal language, not an all-encompassing god who magically loves everyone.

In all actuality, god's name was something we could not pronounce or understand. Try that on for size.

He always was. That's too crazy sounding for our little minds to handle but it's the truth. "In the beginning God....." Gen 1:1. "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made." John 1:1-3

See how many people will actually answer your question with scripture. It's interesting...

Youii are thinking too linearly, as in cause-and-effect. As a human that is limited by the boundaries of time, It is perfectly normal to think this way.

Time for us is like a river that we're floating upon. It has a beginning and and ending and we can't swim back the way we came. As a result, all of our thoughts are built upon this foundation of events happening in a logical sequence... step 1, step 2, step 3, etc.

But God is not limited by time. He does not exist in the same forward-movement of time that we do. In fact, God is timeless. Don't expect to understand how this works. As humans, we will never understand this great mystery!

Can't say about "first cause" but I suspect there is a feedback loop, in that humans exist to do something for God. After all, us and God are part of the same system. Perhaps creation is not yet complete?

What have you gentle readers contributed today? Are you happy with the quality of your work? There's always tomorrow....

No one created God. He is an entity that no human can understand, at least not while on earth. God just is. He always has been. He did create the human form of himself = Jesus. Jesus was God's son, but He was also God in the flesh.....another thing that many of us Christians have trouble wrapping our minds around, but it's true. I don't, however, expect you to believe this, since it seems as if you aren't a Christian. But please, don't put God in the same category as us humans....he didn't need to be created. He just has always been.

Oh, what the heck.

If God created the Universe, then He created time as well. In that case, before God created time, there was no such thing as "before". If there is no time, it is impossible to "create" something as the very concept includes the concept of time. Therefore, your question is in fact a meaningless noise and cannot be answered.

Thanks for playing!

I dont mean to play this argument, but if god created everything, why would people beleive in different gods? People kill over their gods, but no one denys that humans consist of atoms...no one denys things like condensation, forms of matter, the fact that the light outside comes from the sun, etc...

We. We are the created and the creator. All souls: one soul. You know those space vehicles going way, way, way, out there? There was nothing out there until all those involved, ever, thought they would find this or that, or not find this or that.

I created my own God. My God seems much more friendlier, and obliging, than others' God that others talk about.

Noone created God, he has always been there. He is infinite. Forever has been and forever will be. This is the hardest thing for humans to accept about religion, but once one does see this and have faith in the infinite Father, life is tolerable.

Is out of our wisdom to understand this. But GOD says that he is the beginning and he is the END. Talk to a pastor, may be you will get a better answer.
