You are at prime child-bearing time

I am 23 and i am about to have my third child and while no one can answer this for you i will give you some advice and questions to think about.

Firstly are you in a secure relationship, are you financially secure, what are the reasons you want a child, do you want to give up your partying lifestyle, do you have support (because you do need support). What sort of career do you want to have later in life?

For age purposes this is the best time to conceive and give birth to a healthy baby, but only you and your partner know if this is the right time.

well what are the circumstances surrounding this? like, are you married? financially able? and why exactly do you want a baby? I was married at 21 and will be 23 in a few months and am due any day with our first child. however, we had been trying for awhile and it was what we both wanted... so yeah.. if you're set up for it.. and both you and the 'father' want a baby.. go for it... don't just do it though if you're only dating the guy or whatever and are hoping to keep him around... make sure your relationship is grounded first.

That is your choice. Are you ready? Do you feel like you could raise a child? I think you should be emotionally and financially ready for a baby. Not that I think you have to be married to have a baby, I do think that it is a good idea so that you can share responsibility and support. Also, being settled in your career doesn't hurt. Having a baby on purpose is a personal decision. IF you are ready, go for it! Make a baby!!!

yes. Questions you should ask yourself is am I financially stable and at a point in my life where I can provide for this child. Take time off and be able to still provide financially. Am I ready to make certain sacrifices that will benefit myself and child. I had my first child @ 18 and I was still in college but I didnt let that stop me. I have 1 year left and I will be receiving my bachelors degree in medical technology. im almost 21 and I feel like i went through the depress stages and finally i can have some fun. im ready to participate more in college and get my financial plan started. hope the best for you and future family plans.

What do you feel? Are you mentally and financially ready to raise a child? Have you accomplished the things you wanted to do in life? There are a lot of questions you must ask yourself before making that decision. I suggest that you talk to other new parents and if you don't know any, read parenting magazines so you may get an idea of what it takes to raise a child in this day and age. Good luck to you and God bless...

I had my first at 23, my second at 25. I wouldn't change it for the world. I think women are waiting too long for kids these days. They get stuck in the rut of working, having their own lives, decide to have a baby, but need to hire a nanny. Why have kids if you don't want to raise them?

Yes. It's actually a good time to start. Most women don't realize that their fertility actualy drops 50% past the age of 27.

im sorry but to me age is nothing but a number..as long as your mature enough and able to take care of a child in every way shape and form..then your ready to be a parent..if you have to ask others if they think your ready to be a parent just by telling them your age...maybe your not ready...my wife and i were 12 and 13 when we had our first...but we took care of our baby...yeah i was young but my uncle let me work at his shop and paid me under the table...so dont ask a question like that just dealing with your age...you would think a 12 and 13 year old wouldn't be able to take care of a child but we did it..so dont focus on age just ask yourself the question...
