The one true religion is agnosticism. Think on that a little.

Many people are being led astray by religion. Religion, I feel, is just something that divides God's people. Everyone wants their religion and beliefs to be right. That is the world's problem. People fight and die over religion. The sad thing is, most of the religions have rituals and beliefs that I don't feel glorify God at all. I don't understand this. Isn't that what religion was made for? To glorify God? I don't consider myself a religious person. I consider myself spiritual. I feel the bible is the word of God, and I will do my best to follow it. I also feel that if I truly believe, God will never allow me to be led astray. If someday I come to find that I am wrong, I am more than willing to accept that.

Ken,
I would say yes to your first question. Only one true 'religion.' We will be united under Jesus when He comes to rule and reign in the millenium.
"Do you guys think people are lead astray by following half-truths that are offered by many religions ?"
They are at every turn. It may be Satanic in origin, but it may also just be the nature of man to be led astray. I think that depending on which religion you look at, one or the other are true.

The Bible calls the true religion "the way" and says that the road to life is narrow and few are the ones finding it. It should be obvious that there can only be one truth in the Bible. The problem comes when people listen to other people's interpretations instead of reading and cross checking the Bible to let God show them the true meanings of things. By doing so, they would eliminate their confusion and find the true religion for themselves.

There is actually a rather interesting book that was written,
Jesus and Buddha: The Parallel Sayings by Marcus J. Borg.
I believe that God put forth a Jesus figure in all religions, acclimated to the area his followers were.
Krisha: India/Indonesia/etc.
Buddha: Tibet, Asia, etc.
Christ: Europe, America, etc.
If you read the teachings of each religious figure, they are saying the same basic morals and ideals. I believe they were inacted by a "godly" figure in each of the regions in a manner that the inhabitants could follow easily.

I think the church is full of half truths. All Church's! Religion is nothing but a lie. A place for all the weak people in the world. Followers to be led around by child molesting priest.

Half truths, 3/4 truths, 1/16 truths etc etc and YES.
First really I dont believe the TRUE religion exists (as far as organised religion goes) I dont think there is any such thing. I DO believe there is a true religion as far as our actions go which is this: James 1:26-27 26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

I don't think there is one true religion. I think each religion has a small piece of the truth, but human beings are not capable of comprehending God.
The holy scriptures of many religions contain much wisdom. There is no logic in trying to prove anything by citing Bible verses. Why should we believe the Bible is any more true than anyone else's holy book?

I think religion is a good thing.. don't get me wrong.. statistically people that have a religion(any) live longer. But, I don't think there is one true religion.. I mean the basis of it is a single or multiple supreme being. I just can't get over the fact that some monk who has a peaceful existance his whole life could go to "hell" if christianity is correct.. I think all of them have a lot of smoke and mirrors but it boils down to one thing everyone is praying to. That is just my two cents.. who knows

According to your bible, Satan IS the first-born AND the Lord of Light. As to your question, yes! There are as many different religions as there are people to think of them. Who can TRULY say one is right and another wrong? We believe ours is right simply because it suits us. I, myself, believe that each and every one of us CAN be divine if we choose to develop our own selves. The basis for this belief is found in virtually every religious text INCLUDING the tale told in Genesis. Descriptions vary, but most Gods agree that if human kind had the knowledge, we would be their equals! Therefore "Godhood" is merely a product of educating ourselves. Problem is that there are some really paranoid, "jealous" Gods out there.

I'm a kind of a religion philosopher and love to question the difference of religions and how they connect and i think that there is no one true religion coz that would mean that everyone who follows another is wrong. I also believe that religion is man made which makes them bias in one way or another.
