Ooo I love Time questions. The end of the World is indeed "soon". However, Soon is in geological terms rather than human ones if you're speaking of the life cycle of this planet. If you're speaking of religion, it's all in what you perceive. I still see Life going on as it has because I see Hope. Others see the "Endtimes" coming because they either 1) want to believe that something better has got to be coming 2) have lost Hope or 3) have stopped thinking for themselves. Yep, the end of the world is close. We're still changing and we'll change again.

Not very close. The moon, however, is slowly drifting out of earth's orbit and will leave the earth orbit causing our rotation to change and end life on earth as we know it in a few million years. Then there is the rotational decay that will suck earth into the sun. The sun is also going through some changes that will likely change it into a red dwarf or some kind of different star. Then our galaxy is going to collide with another.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Global warming is coming and going to flood coastal lowlands, driving millions to higher ground, submerging fertile farmland while boiling a lot of people. We in the US will probably have to kill millions of refugees to continue to fuel our SUVs. Even that may not happen for the next five years.

The world is supposed to end,"as we know it"!That could simply mean a new age of enlightenment. From what i have read, things are occurring that sure make it look like all hell is fixing to break loose on earth.Scientist have done quite a bit of studying of the earth as of lately, concerning the magnetic fields. Some of those scientists have come to think the earth is fixing to go into a pole-shift,which will not be very pretty.Violent weather, along with severe earthquakes are supposed to be some of the things to come.Currently, there are quite a few volcanoes awakening, along with plenty of earthquakes as of late.SO sit back in your seats, and enjoy the ride.Void where prohibited, check your local churches for other options.Crap hitting the fan may vary.

It is very, very close, but remember that the end of the world does NOT mean the end of the earth. God will destroy all those people who have refused to listen to him and live their lives in harmony with his righteous principles and he will destroy all the man-made things like he did in Noah's day. The earth will remain standing and will be inhabited by all those who have willingly and joyfully obeyed his voice and tried their best to treat others the way that they want to be treated.

No it really is not. The world will not end for atleast 2 billion years, when our sun goes super nova.

The end of the world always appears to be around the corner for every generation yet we're still here nothing should make us feel any different now.

The term "close" is all relative. By cosmic calendar, our planet probably doesn't have that many days left. For a fly, it'll seem a very long time. For people, also many many generations. Time is all relative, don't you think?

For me, I count the quality rather than the length of it, so I want to make mine as meaningful as possible for me.

We are living in the END TIMES.

Will it happen in our life time? Only God Knows, but I do not see this world the way it is lasting another 100 years.
