I'm just curious, how much time of your day do you spend "thinking" of religion. I mean take into account, tv, shopping, cleaning the house, earning a living, taking your kids to the ballgame/beach/school, volunteering, spending time with friends etc. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being rarely and 10 being always, how do you rate and why?

In some situations my faith is at the forefront of my mind. In all situations, it serves as a foundation for the way I think, speak, and act.

Sophia,
"Do you consider yourself obsessed with your faith?"
Yes, I suppose that I am.
"I'm just curious, how much time of your day do you spend "thinking" of religion."
All day if I am able. But here's the problem that I see. You used the word 'religion.' I am not trying to be 'religious.' I am having a relationship with God. If that's religion, then fine, but I wouldn't call it that.

9 or 10 if I am blessed enought to have that kind of time. I work, but I am a single guy. I don't consider it a waste of time. I don't consider it a waste of life.
On the contrary, He is the most important person in my life and I hope it stays that way. I think that He wants it that way.
He taught me all the things that really matter. I hope that I can get even closer to Him.

I spend about an hour a day in prayer and meditation. But other than that I don't consciously try to think about religion. It is just a way of life, a way of living. I don't feel obsessed with religion and don't talk about it often. I simply live it. I have no idea how that rates.

When I was 12, I used to think about religion pretty much every second of my life. This was due to my doubts. I started getting confused about God. This was mainly because I heard, saw, and experienced things that I once believed could have been avoided if I'd ony pray more. I thought I was going to hell. I then started to get interested in science, because it gave me answers to everything I thought I shouldn't think about, such as the creation of Earth. science gave me a real answer to all of this, and as of May this year, I quit being catholic. If you count science as a faith, I would say 10. Science is my life.

Many people consider their faith as a lifestyle, an integral part of who they are. I don't think that counts as "obsession" anymore than a person who practices their culture or their profession as being "obsessed" with either.

I wouldn't say I was obsessed but I wouldn't say I am lax either. I would say I am about a 5 which is average.

Christianity is a lifestyle so it should be a part of every aspect of your life. I mean how obsessed is God about me??? He only sent his Son to die for me. Jesus died for me and I live for him.
