Ok , no aloe as you asked . An excellent cure is ( natural ) yogurt , just use as a cream . I'm pretty sure that you can get that in any store . It really works for the pain but it smells a bit .

The best thing I have ever found and it came from my great grandma who knew ever thing and this will sound funny but I use a thick baby rash cream. My 7 year old daughter is very very fair and will burn pretty bad sometimes no matter what I do ahead of time. So I put the diaper rash cream on her and right away it takes the burn and pain away, she never blisters or pills. However I used it and did pill but it took the pain away.

Right after you get out of the sun... take a hot shower. The heat will open your skin pours and let the heat out of your skin. You'll feel a lot better. I know, I spend a lot of time on the lake!

Tea bags. Put them in water and let them steep. Then put the tea bags on your sunburn. The antioxidants in the tea helps remove the burn. I use it quite often.
