My parents are Hindu but I believe that a God does exist in a diestic kinda way and if u live a good life u go to heaven and if u dont then sucks for u... Now all my Christian buddies tell me that I need to accept Jesus as my Lord and what not to go to heaven. What if right when I am about to die I say "Jesus, I believe" but my whole life I didnt and I just lived a good Christian life without any major sins... Will I go to heaven??

I think I am going to Hell then because I dont think Jesus was the one and only way to God. I think that is kinda selfish that I have to trust in a man I have never met to have a good life. I think he was just a man that people have blown his message out of propotion.

I think you would. I mean you lead a good life and then say you believe in the end. I have heard people on death row that do that same thing. I have also heard people who are dying from illnesses and such have done that too. I would think they would go to heaven if they honestly believed. And since your slate is wiped clean after you accept God, you have no sin at all to account for. How great is that. Oh and to the one that said not to listen to the non-believers, I am a non-believer in your God. Should this person not listen to me?

You are being taught lies about hell and heaven both. Hell is death--not suffering and torment. Parables in the Bible have been misinterpreted to mean this. Heaven is not for most people but only a select few who will have a place in ruling in God's Kingdom government. Satan is here on earth and loves to make people believe lies. The truth is that God created the being who later came to be known as Jesus as the first of his creation. It was many years later that he came to be born as a man. The reason he was born as a man was so that he could replace Adam as the father of all mankind. He (Jesus) was the only perfect man who ever remained perfect throughout his life and therefore the Bible calls him the "only mediator between God and man." Because we are all born sinful because of Adam's sin, it is the only way we can attain perfection by doing so through the sacrifice Jesus made of his perfect, sinless human life. I hope that helps you to understand.

There is a parable in the Gospel of Matthew about a land owner who hires men throughout the day to work for him. Some work all day others only a few hours but all get paid the same amount in the end. Of course those who worked all day are upset but the landowner says "Isn't it my money to spend as I see fit?"

This is called grace, getting what we don't deserve. None of us deserve Heaven, we can't earn our way in. It's God's grace through Jesus that invites us. Whether we call ourselves Christians for an hour a year or a lifetime, It is important only to accept the gift given to us.

Now the beauty of accepting Jesus as your Savior sooner rather than later is seeing your life change in ways you didn't think possible. And helping others find their way too.

Talk to God about the path He wants for you.

Forget the heaven, hell, Jesus, and hindu stuff unless the concepts become tools for a direct experience of god while you are living. Then go for that -- heaven is found right now in this life-- and once u have that experience, the death of the body becomes meaningless.

Don't let the Christians frighten you into a belief. Even though most of them mean well they don't really have any special knowledge of the afterlife. My advice is to take anything from any religion with a grain of salt. If one really read religious literature carefully one often finds discrepancies that aren't acknowledged by the practitioners. I do not mean this to be an insult to any religion. I believe that all religions have value. just be cautious if you are in fear. I wish you luck and happiness

Jesus told the sinner on the cross next to him that he will see him in heaven...it doesnt matter on the life u lived, but your faith. its believing in Jesus and that he died for your sins and rose again that will get u into heaven. and a piece of advice...dont wait til the last minute. none of us know wen we will take out last breath. dont risk eternity ok. He is real, He cares and loves u. listen to ur Christian buddies ok....stear clear of those who try to drag you away from God ok, pray for them. ill be praying for u ok.
i just saw ur extra details...Jesus is the only way to heaven....there is no other. the Bible says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to Fater except through me." He is the only way....and i pray that u realize that truth and accept Him.

It's not a matter of how you live that determines whether or not you get to Heaven. It's a matter of believing that Jesus was your sin replacement through His suffering on the cross, and He's the only way to Heaven. The Bible's clear on this. Heaven's not for people who've not committed "major" sins. Heaven is for people who've recognized their inability to obtain it by themselves and reach out to Jesus to save them.

You may not go to Heaven because you knew what you were doing - living your lies and hope to cut corners at the end. Christianity is built on truth and it's that truth that gets you into heaven.

To be honest with you, I don't believe that anyone at the time of death is thinking about there salvation. I only hope that your friends will be there at that time but whose to say that it won't happen but I pray that you will find the time to think about while you are on this journey for truth. God bless.
