I'm so sorry for your loss. Just remember one thing..
although you feel sad and empty now, you'll always have the memory of the "JOY" your sweet dog gave you. The memory of the times you played together..the funny things he did..and maybe some of the naughty ones too. They're ALL GOOD memories. Your dog was a special part of your life and probably can't be replaced. With time, the pain will pass. The empty void will fill with love for maybe another dog. Although another one could never replace him/her...it may help keep your mind off of your loss and you can start making memories with your new friend.
God Bless You
I'll be praying for you. God can heal a broken heart and fill the empty void you now feel.

AND BY THE WAY....
IGNORE THE CRUEL COMMENTS FROM THE
"HEARTLESS" CHARACTERS ON HEAR !
You've had a lot of "HEARTFELT" answers from some kind people. Listen to them. And email or IM the ones that have invited you. Especially the ones that can relate to your loss through their own loss of a pet.
Again..God Bless!

My dog died after 13 years, and while I vowed that i would wait at least six months before even considering getting another, there was a dog that needed a home (had twice been abandoned), so I took that doggie in, and it helped fill the void. Sorry about your dog. I know it is as bad as losing a relative because the doggie was a big part of your life and you loved your dog. Your dog loved you as well. And, contrary to some know it alls, you will see your dog again someday as all living things are drawn to God. Imagine you are met and led to Heaven by your doggie. I know I will be!

Yes, I am sorry . My Dog of about 12 yrs died too, she died right before Christmas!!! She was a Boxer. My husband woke me up during the early morning hours and told me he had bad news, that he found Lady dead, she was laying on the dining room floor where she was most likely sleeping, near our room! My husband buried her in our yard, i can look out the bedroom window and see her grave. I made her a cross and wrote her name and stuff on it. I got the cross at wal mart. You can find one at the craft store too probaly. It is sad to loose a beloved pet I know! God bless!

Hi
I'm sorry about the loss of your friend...I to have lost my best friends in the past few months not an easy thing to go through .You'll feel alone and think that others don't care or now how you feel inside, but most people who love their pets will know exactly how you feel.
My thoughts and prayers are with you..

I'm so sorry!!!
My kitty died in March. She was with me 16 wonderful years before her heart gave out.
It helps me to remember the good times. I have a little scrapbook I keep with me, I get it out when I'm sad and missing her.
Remember that your doggie is in a good place. I believe dogs go to heaven. They have such pure souls. They have to, or I won't go there.
Remember that he (or she, you don't say) wanted you to be happy. It was his mission in life. Honor his memory by trying not to be so sad. He would hate that.
Time makes it better.
Consider a puppy or kitten (no painful memories or comparisons). Babies keep you too busy to be sad, and you have to laugh at the little darlings.

My condolences. I remember a few months back that my sisters chihuahua had a puppy from my dog. I actually help with the birth of the puppy. We took care of it and we named her Slushy. SHe was cute as all puppies are. Then One morning at about 6:30 my sister wakes me up and tells me that there's something wrong with the puppy, its bleeding. I went to my sister's room where i found my puppy leing and bleeding from her mouth i picked her up and i knew there was nothing i could do. Then just a few minutes later she just completely stopped moving, and just like that she was gone. The day she had died was her one month Birthday.
