I know a little bit. I just need to know something that can help me. I don't know anyone. I don't know what to wear. I also don't know what group I belong in.

this is my sophomore year.
smile at everyone. i know its hard but you will make more friends faster that way.
wear what you like and what is comfortable. you always feel more confident in your favorite clothes.
groups arent always a good thing. i recommend being friends with everyone. thats how i am.
DONT SUCK UP TO THE SENIORS. no matter what they say they dont have the right to push you around. i didnt have that problem so dont worry about it.
go up to your school before the first day adn get a map so you know wehre everything is and you arent late for your classes.
KNOW THE DRESS CODE.
dont put down anyone, especially if ur new.
make friends in EVERY class.

JUST BE YOURSELF, except like a polite version. Really, don't try to put up a false front; that's the worst way to go. Be nice to people, and maybe try being a bit more extrovert instead of introvert. Wear something kind of generic for the first day, just a t-shirt, jeans. My freshman year, I was totally new to the area, and I'm really shy, but I turned out okay. Also, try getting involved in extra-curriculars that you're interested in. They can be built-in friend groups.

dont worrie about groups<---worst way to go. Be yourself NICE and make friends that'll last through HS and perhaps throughout your life span.. Jeans and a cute shirt and some cute sandals might be nice and popular. DOnt forget to bring gym shoes for PE. Good luck and real advice, dont get caught up in drama.

Talk to people, learn common ground so you appeal to the masses so you can make a lot of contacts. Don't limit yourself to one group but learn who you are and make sure you are solid in your interests and others with similar interests will flock to you for friendship and growth opportunities. Be friendly and open to new experiences, you only go through this once. Don't waste it being nervus.

be friendly to everyone but be careful when selecting friends. most high school students likes to make new friends so don't worry. if you don't care for name brand fashions, then try forever 21, charlotte, wet seal, they are affordable and fashionable. you should be able to locate them in the mall. have fun!
