I read this in John 14:

21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"

23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

Absolutely not. For Jesus also said in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but by me. Pretty clear to me.

Of course, because what he was talking about was living according to God's Torah. The whole point wasn't to follow Jesus, the whole point was to follow God's Torah and not the teachings of men.

You want to know God without the Christian thing? One word, Torah. By following Torah rather than what religion teaches, you would be doing what Jesus said to do more accurately than any Christian has ever done.

Certainly yes you can. Please you study islamic teaching. In our holy qur'an spoke that Yesus was only a prophet and he was a human being. He was not the son of God.God is only one that is Allah.Allah has no son,no mother and no father and no wife also.
You know your God without to be as a follower of Yesus or christian. You can learn that God exist by studying and seeing.God created this univese in six period.God has given us the most uptodate life guidance in the holy qur'an and hadith. God's creation.God is our greatest creatorYesus was a grand child of Ali Imran family. They were the descendant of Ibrahim or Abraham prophet.Yesus was not die by crucification. He was saved by God,the crucified man was other man who had a face same with Yesus..There is no trinity in islam. It is logic and in line with monotheism since Abraham period until now.Yesus told his followers please pray to God ,my God and your God.He never said to his followers that he was a son of God.

My Bible says no. The Koran says no. The Book of Mormon says no.... Religious Exclusivism is a beast in many religions.

However My personal experience has seen people from all walks of life, multiple religions and no religion at all with a very obvious light of God in their eyes, in their actions, and in their hearts.

I won't write anyone off, God created all of us and he didn't create us to burn in hell. He loves each and every one. I'm half convenced that God permits multiple religions so we all end up in the same place even if one or more sects takes the HUMAN and frankly EVIL notion to exclude others from God for whatever pitiful reason.

Take a good look at Jesus's protest to the pharasee's and scribes... Its starts with the words "Woe to you..." and I think it aptly applies to quite a few Christian leaders...

Yes you can. Interpreted from a limited, dualistic perspective, we can misinterpret and see a specific individual (the Buddha, Jesus, etc.) as being the only way -- but all who get enlightened are the same exact One thing -- and they each become the same exact symbol of the One Way (expressed differently in our dualistic world).

Considering that a lot of religions that believe in one god seem to have decided it's the same one just called by a different name...and since they aren't all Jesus believing religions...then I'd say very possibly?

You can have knowledge of God without following Jesus. Just like I can know my biological father on earth, but not follow everything he tells me to do.

Following Jesus's example will just bring us to a greater understanding of God.

Ken,
You cannot be within His grace in that manner.

Jesus makes it so that you can approach God. That is the job of the mediator. The mediator bridges the gap between God and man, and makes it acceptable that man has access to God.

Yes, you would be a Jewish person...Jewish people do not follow the same set of "rules" as Christians...but it is also said in the Bible that if you know God, you know Jesus...Jesus is not only the Son, but he is also God...

Depends if you're a Christian or not. And even within Christianity there are many sects with different views. I say that if you will be a Christian, you should follow the original view of Christianity.
