My little girl is almost 2 and loves to go sit on the potty and say "tee tee" when she sits and then want toilet paper to wipe. I have tried putting her big girl underwear on but she just pees in those and then tells you tee tee.

If a child shows interest in using the toilet they are ready to begin...a good indicator is after a long nap, if her diaper is dry, then she has learned how to control it....pick a weekend, buy 15 pairs of undies, and keep her in it all weekend...don't switch back and forth between undies and pullups/diapers, b/c this is confusing....bring her to the bathroom every 2 hours to try....get a prize box where she can pick a toy after she goes in the potty......once she feels the wet undies, she won't like it and will start holding it til she gets to the potty...and if you do it all weekend, don't send her to daycare in diapers...tell you daycare you have started potty training and bring like 10 pairs of undies...good luck!

Seems like she knows what tee tee is. Have you tried training pants? Also, it's best to make them sit on the potty consistently like every 30 minutes or so. That is what they do with my son at school.

Good luck!

put her on the potty about 5-10 minutes after getting up in the morning and after naps. we are going through the same thing and that is the best time to make sure they go in the potty. just make sure to keep an eye on the clock. you'll want to keep track of how often she's going so you can plan potty breaks. every 30 minutes should do. offer rewards for going in the potty. if she's scared by the toilet flushing, wait until she leaves the bathroom before
flushing. (sis loves to say "bye-bye" to the water swirling down the bowl)

When she gets up in the morning is her diaper dry? That is how you know she is ready, when she can control her bladder.. You can help her go during the day and probably remind her every now and then.. She is ready to learn, but not go without diaper at night or to go out. Do not frustarate her, show her but not push her. Good Luck!!

Maybe try pull ups...to show her that she can go to the bathroom but in case of accidents while she's learning, it's not that big of a deal.

She can start potty training. You already have, but it isn't always a fast process.
