Ok, first of all, only hardcore christians reject evolution, but while we are on the note, it's only a theory, not yet proven, just generally accepted.

Probably because there are no Buddhists or Jews (or Hindus or neo-pagans) that are attacking others. These religious people are peaceful and respectful towards others. They respect the beliefs of others and do not try to tout their religion as the ONE and ONLY way "correct" way for everyone to worship. They are treated with the same respect that they afford to others.

Actually I question all religions. The problem is that in America, Christianity makes up 80% of the population. So 80% of the people who harass me are Christian, not to mention my Christian parents who kicked me out of the house. Let's add in the fact that Christians are trying to force their religion into government, and the fact that Christianity is the religion I came from and the religion I know the most about. Now give me a reason why I shouldn't have a problem with Christianity.

And gravity is "only" a theory.

That's an easy question but you are not quite accurate. Some bash Jews as well. You are right about atheists not bashing Buddhists because Buddhism is not actually a theism.
The reason is that religious bigots, in their zealotry, want to force everyone to believe what they believe, no matter how stupid, irrational, illogical or how much in conflict with physical reality. For those of us who enjoy thinking, evangelical Christianity is the antithesis of thought. It is irrational revelation with no substance other than that of a charlatan, a carnival trickster out to take your money.
While I will defend anyone's right to believe as they please no matter how stupid as long as it does not interfere with the rights of others, I cannot and will not accept Christian bigotry and its drive toward a theocracy instead of a secular democracy which is the only protection for all religions.

When an atheist says "God does not exist," he is referring to the Jewish, Christian & Muslim "God." Or, any other group that claims "God(s)" exist.

You take things way too personally if you consider "God does not exist" exclusive to Christians.

BTW, I answer questions about Christianity because I was a practicing Christian for over 30 years, have read the bible more than once, and studied religious history. Based on the "answers" I've seen given by "Christians," I am far more knowledgable about the bible than most "Christians" on Y!A.

Which would you prefer, a correct answer from an atheist, or an incorrect answer from a "Christian?"

Fundamentalist Chirstians are very vocal about their beliefs. This probably grates on the nerves of atheists because the Fundies tend to be quite conservative while the atheists lean to the liberal side. Conflict is inveitable.

Orthodox Jews tend to be not so vocal. And Buddism is more of a philosophy than a religion.

Christians tend to dictate and try to force their beliefs -- e.g. trying to get their beliefs and rituals mandated in schools, in society, etc. They are at the forefront of sillyness like rejecting evolution, stopping stem cell research, rewriting science textbooks, getting a federal marriage amendment going, etc. We don't see this large-scale fundamentalist wackyness going on in buddhism and judaism so ... christians become an understandable target for people's frustrations with oppression. Everyone is tired of the negatives in the middle east that are caused by islam; people are tired of the theocratic elements of christianity that try to oppress the USA.

all of us think of what we've self belief is sweet (....in any different case, we does no longer have self belief it....). i might guess that maximum persons are pleased with one yet another, different than while one area's ideals commence creeping a sprint to close to to the different area's rights. Atheists see Christians attempting to write down Christian ideals into regulation, on an identical time as Christians see Atheists' requests to maintain each and every thing secular as a threat to prepare a faith. i might say the former case is a sprint scarier, and the latter case is extremely unfounded....yet in spite of this i'm an Atheist...and that i think of i'm stunning. 8^) that is purely organic.

You want my honest answer? Because never once in my life have I ever had a problem with, told what to believe, or told I was wrong/going to hell/etc, by a Buddhist or Jewish person. I've never head a thing out of them about it. THAT'S WHY.

1) how many buddhists and jews do you see here, compared to the christians

2) You christians ask for it, whereas the others don't. Only christians try to force your religion on people, even attempting to tear down the constitution to do it.

You're not the martyrs, you're the perpetrators.
