I feel the same way, but it's all in their heads. Like, someone could be eating a carrot or something, and you mention blood, and they say, "Aw, that's gross, not while I'm eating." Well, what do carrots have anything to do with blood? They just believe it's what they're eating because this kind of situation comes up a lot in American culture. And probably others around the world. We're lucky, i think the US is one of the rudest countries in the world or something. If you want polite, move to Japan. But I digress...

I prefer not to talk about gross stuff because some things just make me nauseated just thinking about them. If it disguised your friends u should be a friend and respect them enough not to do it but it's also funny to get back at them and say HAAAAA we're even if they make u mad! It depends on what u said also!! Some stuff is just considered manners; so you decide for yourself on if you want someone to spit their food at you or talk gross!! Good luck in whatever u decide LOL

There are more like you. I think you know the answer but you are deprived of attention or you need a way of standing out from among your friends with something unique.
In general, not even while eating, it's not a good social practice to indulge your conversation in things that are disgusting. There is some type of twisted pleasure and some people like it, but most people don't.
In general, as you know, the act of digestion requires one to be relaxed and also there's a deep trust that the food you're eating is not poisoned or tainted. When you introduce into people mind's the idea of human refuse and biological waste, it creates a mental conflict with the act of eating.
But of course you're free to do whatever you want with your friends. It's up to them to accept you with your defects. But it's possible that they might feel their trust in food violated, and they might interpret it as an affront to their friendship, plus associate you with human waste.

Hmmm, good question. I like to talk about all kinds of stuff while Ieat. I also like to gross people out. For instance, friend's eating spaghetti, I say it looks like worms. *lol* It's fun for me. They try and do that to me and I laugh it off. Why just tonight my friend was over at my mom's place and he was telling my bro about a 'turtle head' sticking out of the toilet. *lmao* I was like, "Dude, my mom's eating rocky road ice cream. Shut up." *lol* It was funny as heck!

Some people just can't hadle it because they have such a vivid imagination it's like it's real when you talk about it. Some just get grossed out really really easily, no matter what. I'd keep doing it anyway. *winks*

I don't easily gross out either, but I know that a lot of people don't like to talk about it when eating because it makes them lose their appetites. Just talk about something else.

You may be one of the few who can separate your eating from your thinking.

Eating is like writing. Talking about gross stuff while someone is writing will cause the person who is writing to write about gross stuff.

If you talk to someone about love and romance, they'll write about love and romance. Imagine if someone was trying to compose a love letter and they had a friend telling them dirty or chauvinistick jokes about the opposite sex. It would distract or ruin their train of thought.

Imagine if you were writing a book report that has to get done and someone is talking to you about their friend who is cheating on them. It will disrupt your thought because part of your brain is formulating thought for your report and the other part of your brain is trying to process what your friend is telling you.

They say that you have "Food for Thought." If someone is "digesting" that Food for Thought and you're talking about feces, manure, and unsanitary conditions, those thoughts are like "bad seasoning" getting poured on that Food for Thought as they're "digesting that information."

For example, let's say you're prepping yourself for a public speaking role. You're giving yourself a pep talk. You're "feeding" yourself with morale. Imagine if you had someone standing next to you telling you that you're a horrible speaker, you're terrible at communication, and you say dumb things.

They're feeding you garbage that is being digested with your pep talk that you're trying to give yourself.

It's the same thing with you talking about "disgusting" things. There's nothing really wrong with it.

It's just that some people aren't as intellectually versatile as you where they're able to separate such things.
