The truth is that Christian theology, like every other theology, is not only opposed to the scientific spirit; it is also opposed to all other attempts at rational thinking. Not by accident does Genesis 3 make the father of knowledge a serpent -- slimy, sneaking and abominable. Since the earliest days the church as an organization has thrown itself violently against every effort to liberate the body and mind of man. It has been, at all times and everywhere, the habitual and incorrigible defender of bad governments, bad laws, bad social theories, bad institutions. It was, for centuries, an apologist for slavery, as it was the apologist for the divine right of kings
If the account given in Genesis is really true, ought we not, after all, to thank this serpent? He was the first schoolmaster, the first advocate of learning, the first enemy of ignorance, the first to whisper in human ears the sacred word liberty, the creator of ambition, the author of modesty, of inquiry, of doubt, of investigation, of progress and of civilization

"He is GOD-he didn't know what Satan in his Garden would do-He didn't know that Satan was in His Garden-HE DIDN'T KNOW?? So how do you know that God will win?"
Nice work troll, now back under the bridge where you belong.
You don't need faith or a bible to answer this question. Simple logic will do.
1) God knows everything (Its kindof part of the definition of "God")
2) Therefore God knew Eve would be tempted
3) If he let her choose, God let her choose on purpose (Again being all powerful is part of the definition of God, he can do anything, if he didn't stop her its because he chose not to)
Simply put. God loves us enough to let us choose and make mistakes. Even if our choice is to walk away from him.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
Love and blessings

It has handed off. devil tempted Eve interior the backyard of eden with the fruit of the tree of wisdom so she could be because of the fact the gods. So, devil and his minions have been on earth -- examine in Genesis why Noah had to construct an ark. God flooded the earth to rid it of the wicked -- which coated circumstances like the incubus and succubus -- and the giants and unknown creatures they created as they have been 0.5 guy / have something else. And if it hasn't handed off, I additionally am pre-tribulation for the rapture because of the fact God has given me the present of the Holy Spirit, and devil can not have his run on earth without the believers long gone --- there will be people who come to the thought "oops, I could of listened..." and that they might come to Christ in the process the 7 years that devil might have his rage on the international. they are going to be examined and different will die -- i comprehend that i might die extremely than deny my Lord and Savior, and that it extremely is in basic terms in the process the Holy Spirit that my flesh could be good adequate to settle for death. the subsequent time God cleanses the earth it is going to likely be with hearth. i'm on Michael the Archangel's area because of the fact I belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.

To answer you question (which is way flawed) Lets say you are a former employee, you used to work for me till I caught you trying to have me thrown out and you take my spot.
Later I catch you bribing two new employees. My faith in these two employees left me disappointed and you sure didn't win any special favors from me. Then I go and living beat the crap out of you. You still corrupted my employees - but I fixed your wagon non the less.
Now ask your question again and use what intelligence you have to work with and figure out this analogy - or parable. God wins, Satan loses.

The second that Jesus died on the cross, Satan lost the battle. and he knows this, So why would Jesus allow him to continue? Because man had already sinned, ( eve ) and its up to us to accept him or not. I believe that God allows things to happen to us, just to bring us closer to him. We all tend to shy away when things are going well. And he pulls us in. Like a shepard to a lost sheep. Trust Jesus today. You will never regret it.

Who said God COULDN'T stop satan, He just didn't. God does and always has allowed Satan to tempt us so that WE make choices for ourselves. God could have very well made it so no one would sin, but then no one would come to Him honestly and in love. They would be puppets. And, well if you think being a puppet sounds like a good deal, I can't help you but I know I don't

I understand what your saying. You just have to trust in Revelations. If you need help understanding Revelations, I would recommend reading the Left Behind Series. I am learning so much about all the Revelations and because of those books, I am more devout in my faith. Those books might answer a lot of questions you may have.

It wasn't temptation nor Eve's disobedience that caused the fall of man. Yes, you heard me right. Sin entered through one man and it went out the same way..through One Man. At the time of temptation..for even Christ was tempted and tried, Job..tempted and tried..many of those Biblical persons..Jacob who wrestled with "a being" in order to recieve a blessing in spite of his unworthyness..then you will see that as we chose to know good from evil...once evil has been presented humans fail to turn from it..that is the fall of mankind. If Adam and Eve after disobeying out of distrust of the Word of God, choosing to eat, had turn to God and asked forgiveness all would have been well and this would have been established as the propensity of man..However, instead they went about to utilize the blame game...Selfish desires to be their own gods. Eve blamed the serpant and Adam blamed Eve, even further, alluded that it was God's fault.."this woman that YOU made me". They hid in shame and did not confess it before Him. As in the beginning so it is throughout the Bible...in order to cover their nakedness, the blood of what had to have been a pure animal was slain by God to make a covering for them. So it is with Christ for us..His blood atones and we are clothed with his flesh...wine and the bread. Bread being symbolic of scripture..scripture being the Word of God..God being the Word made flesh. IT all connects and so the solution is made. The rebellion over creation and us humans and salvation was planned out and well established long before the first evil (Act against God) ever occured. It was done in preparation so that the evidence would be resolute and documented in that extensively expansive book that comes in all shapes and sizes and has found its way accross the world as the most read text, the most published, the most talked about, debated, studied and written about. Satan has already lost the Battle when God, loving you enough, became a little lower than the angels for a little while and lived, healed, taught, suffered, died and was resurrected for you...because your propensity is to choose yourself until you turn and see Him and are called to repent in the realization that what He said was true...you will surely die. Yet now you can live and have life more abundantly as death is swallowed up at Judgement along with the knowledge of evil. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><
