If you are concerned about the side effects of your medication, namely weight gain, you need to talk with your doctor. If you are still on the medication, sometimes they can recommend an alternative that will not have the same side effects. Additionally, they can help you manage a diet and exercise plan to help take off the weight you have put on. If there is no alternative medicine and you do need to keep taking this medicine to prevent other medical issues, your doctor may be able to recommend healthy ways to limit the scope of the side effects. Do not stop taking your medicine without consulting a doctor. Laxatives and other such products are not a healthy way to manage your weight. Using such methods for weight lost can lead to immediate and long lasting consequences for your health.

Hi
Sometimes a detox diet might help ,try this this helped me a lot,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

I feel with you - I gained 20 pounds while taking steroids, it's really hard to lose it. I lost some when my doctor took me off of them, struggle with the rest. You have to completly change you eating habits and your exercise routine to shock your body a little. Somehow it does'n response to just lower calories. And drink a lot(!), some medication make you hold water so make sure to make it start moving out of you.
