Most of the Muslims I know are peaceful and friendly. But what is with the "kill the infidels" motto of all these crazy terrorists that insist on killing the innocent to prove a point. Doesn't the Koran state somewhere that it's wrong to murder? I admit the Christians didn't do so hot with the crusades but now we're just defending the innocent from tyranny and terrorism. What's their point?

jihad is to stand up against tyranny and opression!! jihad is to defend your country against occupiers.
Jihad is to defend your family against all harm.
jihad is to travel abroad seeking education.
all this is jihad. jihad is fought with the same rules of warfare instructed in the holy Quran. for example not to kill women and children and elders, not to kill armless men, not to kill prisoners of war and treat them with fairness.
the murder of innocent lives is murder and god sees it as murder and the rest of the world see it as murder. the murderers will be punished by god on the day of judgement.
they dont kill for religion or for god they kill to punish governments and please their own ego. they have to justify thier deeds by sticking it to Islam and God. but it has nothing to do with God or Islam.
people take verses out of context and abuse the Quran for their own ego and nothing else.

peace!!!!

Each and every human being in this world is not in favor of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and antisocial
elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice. The Holy Quran says that
If any one slew a person ,unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land,it would be as if he slew all humanity, and if on saves a person it would be like saving all humanity.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you.

"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors." - 2:190

"If any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people" 5:32

"But if the enemy incline towards peace, then you (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah: for He is One that hears and knows (all things). "8:61

"And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevails justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere. But if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do." 8:39

Holy wars in islam have always been in the face of persecution. Jihad basically means self defence

Snuggles, you are an example of of those who talk when they know nothing. How about some quotes to support your answer?

Rimrocka has a pretty good concept of Jihad, but it is much more profound than going to war. It is about struggle. An example of which is a woman giving birth, that is a form of jihad. I am not Muslim, so it would not be fair for me to continue

ur right Islam calls for peace and love
these who claim to be muslims and kill others for no reason have nothing to do with islam
The Holy Jihad is demanded when ur defending ur self ur family ur country
like those in Iraq and in LEBANON
THE QURA’N never called for killing
if someone attacks u u have to defend ur self RIGHT?
then why u consider it terrorism when the one who is attacked is muslim ?

all religion was written for same reasons to control people its just muslims are particularly ignorant but then again christians too tipping ignorance scale off the chart as christian religion written so the crusades could happen also as a tool to explain to christians slavery was ok as everyone who wasn't christian was infidels "blacks"& less than humans & it was ok to inslave them

we are humans.. HOw the heck can we defend or protect our God?
God is the one should be protecting us, we can not do **** about it. if other people wanted to say bad things about our personal religion / God...then go ahead. Our God will revenge them, because we do not have the authority.
Jihad is about defending their religion, which means their god needs protection from the follower. Then why he should be a god? if he is a god, he don't need humans to defend him.
jihad is useless, only cause more trouble.
Peace y'all.

God bless.
