The best thing to do would be to wait until you're eighteen. You will be eighteen pretty soon. Be patient!

How do you expect to support yourself while pregnant? You can only hold a job for so long.... How would you be able to work and support yourself and your child once it's born?

You're 17 and pregnant. Did you finish high school? Do you have any skills that will provide a decent living for you and your child?

You want to be independent but you are in no position to do that at this time in your life. I'm sorry but I think you'll need to rely on your parents and that's no picnic for you - it's even less of one for them since they've already raised you and are ready for a rest, I'm sure.

Once the baby is born, plan to go back and get your education so you will have skills and can get a career so you can get out on your own.

In the meantime, you should show some gratitiude to your parents for letting you live there, even though it's not what you want - it is a place to rest your head and have some food.

My prayers are with you...

Depending on which state you live in you can legally move out of your parent's home. Here in CT you can move out the moment you turn 16 but I don't think it's a federal law. It'll probably depend on which state you live in and what the rules are for moving out at what age. But the thing is you'll have to find a place to go. Appartments and condos are pretty cheap but still it doesn't sound like your family is gonna be too happy about it.

I have been in this same issue too, there will really be no way to convince your parents on good terms to allow you to "emacipate" which is the proper term for what you are trying to do, but if you wait until your are 18, the chances are that you will be better off becasuse people will look at your crazily being a minor and trying to live independently.

Sweetie, if youre 17 and wanna go, take yourself down to your local court and ask what you need to do to be declared an adult
In Tx you can with or without your parents consent.
Consider this though, your parents may know something about the father that you are just not seeing...
In my experience parents are not nearly as stupid as their teenage kids think they are
But there are exceptions to every rule...
Good luck...

As soon as you have the baby, you are no longer considered a minor and can move out.
