each state has a department of corrections website. you can type in a name and it should come up with the inmate's info.

You can go on line and check the county to see if they were picked up or you can call that prison and tell them that you are looking for that person and fear that they may be in jail.
As long as you have a name and date of birth they can check and say yes or no.

if it is federal-federal inmate locator
if it is county-the name of the county then inmate locator

find the department of corrections site for your state...you can look up anyone that is incarcerated
