Dates can only occur on odd-numbered days. But only in the Jewish calendar. Plan accordingly.

what do mean nothing? Like were there talking involved? Anyway what i consider to be a date is doing something to get to know them better or having fun. Having breakfast is not a date it's just a little meeting I think.

What do you mean nothing happens? Does that mean they don't kiss or touch?
A date doesn't have to have kissing or touching. Its two people who mutually like eachother. I feel like dating is more of a state of mind.
You can be on a group date, or with a bunch of people, and still be on a date. Whether something romantic happened or not.
But i'd say if two people go to breakfast alone, even if nothing romantic happened, it would be considered a date.

A date doesn't have to have ANY intimate contact, even a kiss. A date is simply an appointment...yeah, if a guy and girl, who are a (potentially) romantic couple, go out for breakfast...I'd call that a date...

well it depends why you ask this question. If you are friends and just enjoying each other's company, then no. But if you have been dating before, then yes. But I suspect you ask this because someone asked you out for breakfast and you want to know if he considers it a date and you think it's just breakfast.

A date leads to a more interpersonal something.
First we have to get past the sexual thing.
Two guys at work and one says, WANNA GO TO POOL HALL.
Is that a date?
Are TWO GUYS now dating?
A guy goes to a girl and says
We are all going out bowling tonight, wanna come along?
Is that a date?
A Date leads to something.
It leads to a guy and a girl (or in the case of homosexuals same sex people) going out now and then, then a lot, then all the time.
A date basically implies I want to screw you to marry you.
I find you interesting and I either want to see if we can share a life togeather or I want to try and get you out of your clothes, into a bed so I can get my rocks off.
It's that simple.
I guy asks a girl out because he either finds her facinating or her breasts facianting.
A guy asks a guy out for a good time with fellowship.
A guy asks a girl out for ulterior motives.
Sometimes girls and guys DO go out for good times and fellowship, but it is rare.
Mostly the guy wants to see if she'll stay or get into her pants.
If a guy goes out with a girl and she makes it clear there will NEVER be kissing and absolutely NEVER be sex, most guys won't got out again or will rarely go out after that delcaration.
How many guys will say
Ok, so what are we doing next week after that kind of a declaration?

I think a date is, a guy and a girl spending time with each other in order to learn more ABOUT each other.
