Pasties with gravy....an Upper Peninsula (Michigan) specialty. Like a meat pie. Filled with ground beef, potatoes, carrots and onions. Some people use rutabaga, I don't. I only make these once a year. I usually make a dozen as one is a meal. I freeze and then we have them to make in the microwave down the road.

Fried Chicken
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Corn on the cob or fresh green beans.
Biscuits and butter.
Iced tea with lemon.
Something chocolate.

all in one sitting. Yum

BEN & JERRYS ICE CREAM . don't care what kind , as long as i eat the whole carton and no one asks me for some, that's my favorite comfort food . now this onl;y happens when i'm stressed out . and that's far and in between

my grandma's eggplant parmesan, or her pittiched (fried breads).
also I love fettucine in a cream-style sauce with mushrooms, all from scratch of course.
any form of pasta, even simple butter pasta, is my comfort food. what, no Italians out here?

i love peanut butter by itself or when i feel like cutting up an apple, i'll eat apples with peanut butter. i also like marshmallows. comfort food for me is usually sweet! i can't think of any salty comfort food i run to. just peanut butter.
