God has both qualities as we are made in His image and we are male and female. He is compassionate , loving ,and sensitive. He is strong, powerful, and fierce. He is a both a protector and a nurturer. The implication is that God is all that we need. He can both Father me and Mother me into eternal life. I am safe in His arms.

It would look like the pagan society and religion it is now.
Implications none. The imaginations of people have never changed the Word of God.
Maybe women will find out the truth about the female god concept. In ancient days virtues were divided by sex. (You get this with mother earth, female god concept, religions).
When you give one set of virtues to men and a second to women you have set the stage for sexual discrimination you don't even want to dream about.
I may put the idea of virtues by sex to Q&A. Bet few can name the virtues or the division.
This woman-god thing is already well underway in America. It is one of the prophetic marks of end of the United States as a world power.

It's a lot more difficult to imagine a mother image commanding mass genocide. That, and wedding vows would have been much more equitable from the beginning. But I think nuns would still be in charge of the schools.
Of course, since God cannot be limited by mortal form, 'He' is properly neither male nor female.

That's a very interesting question! I've thought about that too, but I honestly couldn't say it would be much different from what it is now. I think I read somewhere that Woman was created from Man, from a rib in Adam's body I think. That's probably why the church is male-dominant.

nothing would change for me. But the male-dominated society of the church would likely throw a fit. I personally cant see why women cant be priests. However, God is so far from the concept of human that i dont believe It has a sex

He has been by Himself. In the Old Testament He says He wants to gather His people to Himself as a mother hen gathers her chicks to herself. He encompasses all good things.

He is He.
You can't politically correct Him.
I'm glad HE is He.
