if im driving and stop sudenly or something, and the person behind me swerves into a light and crashes, do i have to stop legally? even if hes ok?or can i zoom away?

It might be a good idea to check on them to see if they are ok. Maybe call an ambulance or something but as far as "causing" an accident, I wouldn't worry about it. In the US, it's the responsibility of the person behind you, relative to your direction of travel, to drive a safe distance away from you.

On the other hand, that person could tell the police anything they wanted and all the police would have to go on is their word. So it's probably a good idea to stick around so you can give the police a statement.

stop and give assistance but if they swerve and hit a light, the conclusion will be that they were following too close

back up over them to see if they are OK. Dont pay any mind to those bumping noises as you are backing over them.
If they are OK then drive over them and be on your way.
