During my life of 59 years now, I have been the proud owner of five German Shepherds, one at a time........I find them stoic, loyal, intelligent and adaptable.
Currently I own a Chihuahua, and it seems to be a great choice for empty nesters........peppy little pooch with a big dog attitude......I also have a lab and an australian shepherd.......I love them all........but German Shepherds have always been closest to my heart. All have been wonderful companions.

I'm partial to cockapoos (mix between cocker spaniels and poodles), which is what I have. They make wonderful indoor dogs - no larger than 15-20 lbs. and they don't shed. I also like Australian Cattle Dogs (beautiful coloring) and Greyhounds (so graceful).

I am partial to Maltese because they are fluffy little balls of fur with affectionate dispositions. Even with all that silky fur they shed very little and are excellent pets for people who have allergies.
And look! This one can drive!!! LOL!
