Yes, they are both mythical beings used to control our behavior. They offer reward if we behave in-line with their rules, and they offer punishment when we do not.

Actually, Santa Claus was based on an actual Saint(read "Holy Servant Of God).
St. Nicholas.

Chicky,I felt like you,Jesus sounded to much like santa claus and the bible sounded like fairy tales.
In my heart of hearts I knew there was a God whatever you may call "IT". So I prayed to God to send me someone to show me the truth . "HE DID JUST THAT". Now I see Gods truth every where,especially in my heart. Oh yes now i understand the bible also. Chicky God still inspires people to reveal his truth. The bible is only a very small part of his revelations.Chicky I pray you to will Experience a contrite heart and pray directly to God,Jehovah,allah etc.for forgiveness for your sins,asking for a closer conscious contact with him and ask that he will send you a real live teacher. They are complete oposites. God is truth and fairness and justice.
Santa Claus is a lie, and poor children get nothing while spoiled rich kids get everything. That is not fair. or just.
He is probably satan the devil

you do know that St. Nicholas (Santa) existed, don't you?
he was a real guy who helped kids that were orphans. (read a history book)
God did the same for us too, we were adopted into his family.
