Its not mean at all! They LOVE it! Sometimes they will have practice runs on Saturdays after lure coursing trials. Look for events at asfa.org. Go to one and see if they will do practice runs. Some clubs will hold regular practices as well as trials. Most people at the trials are very helpful.
