At least we can spell and use proper grammar. Maybe Christians who can't do this should be exempt from asking/answering questions? Just a thought....

I normally join because I feel sorry for people who are being scammed and do not even know it. It is very sad that so many people are brainwashed to believe one way are willing to start wars because of it.

If you would just open your mind that you could be wrong and think it over and stop being scared that you will be punished by someone or something. It is a real shame that you are taught do deeply that you are going to hell if you say anything that will disrupt the church's cash flow.

I agree that some of the poor people churches really believe and do what they can to help people but I really don't think they are the main stream. The main goal is get the money. I have been a collector and took the plates to the accounting room. They act like they will be shut down if they don't start bringing in more money. They get mad over it. You would think they are on the stock markets and the stock are falling and the share holders will be pissed.

That is why I show up in these places. I care. Put your money in medical research.

Well I assume you aren't over here "in the west," so how can you even say how it is for us? Non believers and others that aren't Christian here have taken a lot of crap forever, and Christians aren't slow about yelling about it being a "Christian nation" despite and fact that it's a so-called "melting pot." Other people kept their mouths shut all this time about their own beliefs, pretty much for the whole life of this country so far, and people are only now getting brave enough to talk about their beliefs that don't fit with the 'majority.' So bug off.

If people like you want to give us crap then you explain to me why we've gotten crap for generations now. But I guess that coin is allowed to be only one sided, huh?

How many times do I have to say on this site that atheists post here too because whether someone believes in a god or not, what a person believes (or disbelieves) is a big part of life, and a big part of how we define ourselves and know who we are. Got it?

All an Atheist is someone who has not yet found his or her truth. You need to be loving and accepting of this search for their truth. Not judgmental and defensive like many so-called Christians are. Many who think of themselves as atheists just have trouble believing that a god that is supposed to be unconditionally loving could ever allow someone to be judged or punished.

This is a logical question that more Christians need to seriously consider.

A question you might ask yourself is why does this search the atheists are on bother people so much?

If their own faith in what they believe in were strong these things would be irrelevant to them. There must be something about their belief system that they are uncertain about or the questions these atheists pose would not be troubling to them.

Think about this. It is the real key to finding the peace you seek on this issue. The insecurities we have do not originate external to the mind that believes in them. Remember this and it will help you.

Trying to understand is a good first step.

Love and blessings to you.

Once and for all, atheism is not a rejection of everyone's right to believe what they want. We are not trying to depopulate the world of Christians. The reason atheists join conversations about religion is that religious people keep asking "why do all atheists hate Christians" and such. If you're going to talk about us, then you should be respectful enough to listen to what we have to say in our own defense. I don't hate Christians. I was raised Christian. In fact, I think I have more tolerance and respect for other religions than most Christians do. But atheism is at its very core a rejection of all religious dogma, and as long as Christians or Jews or Muslims or anyone else keep trying to stuff religion down everyone's throats and keep trying to make being "Godless" equal to "Satanic", then atheists will keep entering your conversations to defend their actions and thoughts. Live with it, or start apologizing for all the things done in the name of religion and stop hating everyone who doesn't agree with your world view.

They are here not to learn but to bash and convert. They are demonic tools used by Satan. I haven't seen a positive atheists on this site at all. Everyone of them are full of hate and lack morals. They are only bias towards Christians. They are lost and are bitter souls looking to attack anyone who believes in God. I have met true atheists who would not dare come to a forum like this because they respect others beliefs. GOD BLESS THE HELL BOUNDERS!

Athiesm has just as much place in a Christian debate as Christians have in a debate about Hinduism. By using Judiasm and Islam as your alternatives, you've avoided using religions that disagree with you on a very crucial point: the existence of a single omnipotent entity. Athiesm is a religion. They think they're right, you think you're right. I'm agnostic, so I think that I'm right in not knowing I'm right and, in fact, in being unable to know that I'm right. They're all religions.

most people don't want to disrespect you for your beliefs-- they just cant believe what you believe--- to an atheist believing in god is like children believing in Santa Claus its fun and all- but not real, kids grow up while learning to be good and well behaved- so you know what it was like in school or at home talking to a kid that truly believed there was a Santa- and you remember having to keep up the lie- well you know how you laughed secretly at the dumb kid, because you were older and smarter and knew the truth-- WELL that's how atheists think of themselves compared to you-

i guess they fell defensive about not believing in God and go on the offense to try to cover that up. or maybe they are really deep-down searching for a reason to become a believer. but, you;re right, they do show no respect or tolerance for others beliefs. always trying to slam believers. lets pray for them!

Theology is an academic subject which happens to interest some atheists, whether that matters to you or not, and this is not the "Christians only" section.
