I have to say you are wrong to have allowed your children to go into chucky cheese barefoot but not out of malice .. rather i think you need to understand this ..
Chucky cheese has at least what....50 people walking in and out? some people have come to chucky cheese after a day at the farm..or a day picking bluberry or even a day out campin with their kids ... or even horse back riding ... now what's the one thing that they will all most likely step on? good ol steamy shmelly manure!!!
NOW .. here they come into chucky cheese...they decide to order their popular big ol pizza 'n off they go with the slice to go play at the nearest video game .. drop pieces all over the floor .. combine that with rancher sam's dirty boots or cowpoke willie's dry horse pee...and oh look your son is now finished playing with his game but he stepped on a piece of pizza on the floor uh oh .. he's going to use his fingers to flick it off the foot and come back for another slice or another fry with the same hand he used to flick off that piece of food! see what is going on? :)
'sides...waiters and waitresses can carry 6 plates and still do the hoola dance but it doesn't mean they'll avoid a crowd of three kids 'n not shatter a piece of glass or another .. w/o a lazy ol janitor do a quick sweep leaving itty bitty glass on the floor
hope this helps bring the light into perspective :)

First, you are wrong for breaking the law.. just like that other kid's mom without a shirt.. you aren't supposed to allow people without shirts and shoes into a business establishment.
Second, you are wrong because you were endangering your child, you would even be more wrong than the shirtless kids mom, had he been wearing shoes.. but since he wasn't, you were both wrong for endangering your children.
Did you ever look at the floor in a chuck e cheese? Did you ever see how dirty it was? What if some lady was digging thru her purse and something sharp fell out and your child stepped on it? What if there was a thumbtack on the floor and your child stepped on it? What if someone dropped hot pizza on the floor and your child stepped on it? I work in a hair salon, and we don't let barefoot children walk on our floor because you can get a hair sliver (yes I did say a hair sliver) and they are hard to get out and get infected easily. The floor at Chuck E Cheese is so much dirtier than that. In ball pits, much like the ones they have at Chuck E Cheese, they have found drug needles.. so who's to say that on the floor you wouldn't find the razor some guy used to chop up drugs..What if someone broke a glass and your child stepped on it.. are you understanding that your child was in danger of stepping on something the whole time that he was running around a public place with no shoes on?
A better question is what harm is there in a kid having no shirt on? And what harm is there in a kid having wet hair.. explain how those kids may have been injured walking around Chuck E Cheese

It is NOT clean there. Kids have accidents on a daily basis in the ball pits. Whatever any establishments policy is, just abide by it. You don't want to really know the nasty horror stories that justify the policy. Just trust it. I am a pretty fancy free happy go lucky person, but barefeet inside of a public place is just nasty. Athlete's foot is like a form of ringworm... I bet if one of your kids got it, you'd be disgusted, right? Don't take the chance.

who said you were wrong. Personally I think it's "policy" ALL kids in chuck E cheese wear sox's while playing. I would not allow Mine to run around with no shirt or socks either thou. Just because someone else is allowing their child to break rules dose not make it okay 4 you to break them to. I do what I know is best 4 mine if another mom lets her kids run around bare footed or shirtless that's on them.

I am not passing judgment, I think someone already has at the restaurant.
I hate it but people spit in the parking lot and that gets tracked in on the bottoms of shoes and bare feet, how would rather your kid waded in spit with or without shoes?

It is against health code for any individuals to be barefoot in any establishment. It's important as a parent to teach your children to follow the rules.
