A question that has always intruiged me, maybe it was just some guy witnessed that the eggs... um... "came out" and what came out was the thing that grew up to be the thing they ate. So before the eggs hatched, they cracked them open and were dissapointed, only to find it made a tasty snack, that then evolved into a breakfast food. Your theories on this?

You do know that eggs do not come from the chicken's "butt", right?
I think it is because people, even long before they were people, have always viewed animals that were smaller and weaker than them as tasty. The young of defenseless birds has always been a favorite food source among primitive peoples.
I use defenselessness is a relative term, watch any goose video on AFV.

You have the wrong perspective. Back then chickens weren't domesticated they way they are today. People were hungry and would eat anythign that didnt make them sick. All sorts of bird eggs were fair game. People also ate insects (grubs are an excellent source of protein) and a much wider variety of plants and berries.

In all reality, the first egg consumed was not a chicken's, or even a bird's.
It was probably first consumed by accident and that person probably did not witness its dislodging from the nether parts.
After they found out it tasted that good, they didn't care!

Eggs don't come from a chicken's anus, they come from its vagina. It's just considered more polite to say they come from the chook's bum, even though the concept is far more disgusting than what really happens.
