He has to be good looking which means taking care of himself.Confident, rich, smart, intelligent, down to earth, romantic, humorous, understanding, sexy, great, in bed, and he always has to teach me somthing new.
Is that too much to ask for?

Most women would dream for a guy like that, I know I would...question is, how many men out there actually fit that description, that are actually single and available? I mean, he may be a hottie that's good in bed and has a great sense of humor, but he may be simply middle-class, not rich. Or he may be rich and smart, but not the best lover in the world. See what I mean? And even if you find someone who is all of those things, that same guy has to want you as well. You may have a lot to offer, but this guy may still be into someone else. I'd say keep looking for that ideal guy, but don't ignore everybody else in the meantime. You'll kick yourself later if you do...

Most of your list is perfectly reasonable -- but I question the presence of "rich." The fact is, truly rich guys make up less than 2% of the population. So what is your definition of rich? Six-figure income? $50,000.00 a year? If your standards are more specific, it will be easier to find a man who meets them. If you really mean rich, though, understand that those guys only marry girls from equally rich families. Are you part of that 2%? If not, forget about getting a rich guy -- at least, if you want to be anything more than a one-night stand.
I also wonder about "always has to teach me something new." New about what? Again, this is so vague that it's easy for you to talk yourself out of dating someone who would be right for you.
Perhaps these two standards could be better stated as, "financially responsible" and "intellectually stimulating." A guy who only makes 30 grand a year but spends it wisely is a much better choice than a guy with a six-figure income who is seven figures in debt.
By the same token, a man of average intelligence who has fresh takes on subjects that you're interested in will be much more stimulating than a genius with a boring personality. Either would be able to teach you new things, but the ride would be much more fun with the first one.

standards too high? - re-read what you just spelled out and reverse the roles... do you really really think you'd make the cut? Yes those standards are really high for most guys to live up to... keep such a strict guideline for meeting guys and you'll be lonely for a long long time. Good luck.

Not at all, except for the rich part. I could teach you several things. I take care of myself. I take care of my cat. I'm not rich yet, but I'm somewhat conifident. Why don't you give me a chance?

Go for it! You're not going to get any better than you insist on. There aren't many of them, but you only need one. They do exist. I've been happily married to one for over a decade.
