the Bible says that it is God's word. If it is God's word it must be true because God connot lie.
Now I have a challenge for you If I could show you compelling evidence that the Bible is the word of God and it is true would you be willing to trust in and follow Jesus the Christ?
if so you can email me

Fools. Consider this:
GE 19:30-38 while he is drunk, Lot's two daughters "lie with him,"
Become pregnant, and give birth to his offspring. 2PE 2:7 Lot was
"just" and "righteous”
(Straight from the Bible) Is THAT the word of God? I think NOT. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just another Christian sheep in the herd.

People who take the time to learn it as a whole, without the distortion of mythology that has crept into Christian religions over the last 1800 years.

Depends on what do you mean by the end-all and be- all word.
Truth is relative. Your truth may not be mine and mine may not be yours. I believe that there are truths I have to carry with me however, it does not mean I should ask you do the same.

Obviously a couple of your answer dudes have never wrestled with it a whole lot. It causes hard questions, not answers them. It cause you to think profoundly, not dumbly sit there. It's the most thoughtful and yet easy book there is.

Whoever totally believes that better be an Amish person living in the woods. I don't think God's going to think very highly of all those Christians going to church in cars that eat up air, use up the resources of the Earth and spit out gases that are pure poison.
And all the women here better be silent in church, that's in the Bible.
No good Christian better hang with someone of questionable morals, even if they are in your family, for you are as bad as a fornicator youself. That's in the Bible too.
So is making the person who rapes your daughter marry her or pay you money in compensation for your loss. Of course Jesus said forgive and forget, remember that when you get raped.
Christianity and bible living is not an easy thing to do. There are a lot of conflicting things. Among them going against the Laws God gave to Moses, because Jesus was modifying them.
The Bible warns you not to follow false prophets and that's exactly what EVERY church is. You have Roman Catholics who hide their homsexual pediphiles away, pay off the victims. You have Angelicans who are ordaining them openly as ministers and even performing same sex marriages. You have religions that burn witches. Put blacks in the balcony. The KKK is a religiously based orgnaization. One groups baptizes after birth another baptizes only as adults. Some believe in Predestination, others don't. Some speak in tounges while others say those who do that are possessed by demons.
Now, who do you belive! Chose wrongly and you get the mark of the animal and your name is not in the book of life!
Ok Bible Scholars. WHERE in the Bible does it say God forgives the innocent dupes who were raised in a church since kids and blindly obey for it's all they know.
Is there a get out of jail free card.
Once saved always saved or not.
These are REAL controversies of the Church and of theologians with PH Ds in bible studies.
So all of you, get into your cars, put some greehouse gases out, spew your SMOKE, which is as bad if not worse than cigarette smoke, into every home and business and tell God how great you are in that church!
Smog exists in inland Alaska. It exists at the South Pole.
Go look down your snoots at people who smoke cigarettes and then get in your car, turn on the ignition and dump a ton of smoke out the tail pipe, because you're more holy than thou!
This part of the bible is literal, this part is symbolic. The year is 1700 and you read that passage about a man of metal who ate a roll or parchment and spake. Looks symbolic in 1700. In 2006 we have computers that use punch tape and then talk to you. Now it becomes literally possible.
The 4 horsemen, literal in 6 AD, symbolic today in the world of jets and cars, but in 400 years when the oil runs out we may be on horses again, thus it becomes literal again.
Jesus restored life with a touch and told his disciples all of them could do what he does. Today we have CPR and can bring back a dead person with a touch if we know what we are doing. NO ONE can say for sure Jesus didn't do CPR, yes it could be a simple touch, but who is to say that CPR is not the same thing. Heart surgeons do their job day after day, some revived, some don't. Who is to say the Spirit doesn't work through them and God sometimes says no. IF God didn't want heart surgery to work, God would make not work and they wouldn't do it anymore.
The Bible has many good words in it, but I'm not going to stop knowing people just because they use sex as a bedroom sport, which 1 Corthinians says is wrong. One is not supposed to hang with fornicators. It's not Godly.
God condems through guilty by association? Boy, the whole world is in trouble in that case!
Here's the hot bed issue of the times.
Men were stoning a girl for playing whore in her father's house and Jesus stopped them and they protested and said the Laws given to Moses by God said that that must do this thing and Jesus said: OK, but he who is without sin must cast the first stone.
Today we have a homosexual issue in the world. Like a girl who plays whore in the family house, it is a death penalty issue.
Now, use the Bible to resolove the issue in the manner of Jesus, unless you think Jesus would say: Stone the ****!
Can anyone truly hear Jesus saying that!
I just got acosted from a Yahoo answer by a "Christian" who took me to task for being a gay rights advocate. RIGHTS. As in HUMAN RIGHTS. Like as in BLACK RIGHTS. I'll be she's for black rights, too, but she wouldn't marry one.
I used to get acousted in the 1960s for being a Black Rights advocate. A lot of White Christians used to pick on me and even got hostle.
Now where's all that jolly LOVE and TOLERANCE stuff from the Bible that these so called "CHristians" are supposed to show.
Everyone should do a segue here and indicate if you are FOR or AGAINST Gays.
Stone them or not?
Forgive them or not?
Damn them or not?
LEt's see some "be all word" application.
I'll kick it off. Love your neighbor like you love yourself. Love your enemy the most!
