They are looking for a different "type." Anyway, you would not be happy with that kind of boy. Spend time at places and in activities where "down to earth" boys are.

well it depends on how they are because if there good real guys then they would probably like a down to earth girl like you but if there just a jerk and not looking for a real girl then forget about them,if someone does not like you for who you are then you should not be with that type of person good luck!:)

Perhaps you put on an air that you are beyond them?
There has to be an effort for something beyond "down to earth" that you need to give to prospective guys. As much as "down to earth" is a solid way to be, and many men do enjoy this characteristic, there has to be something else with it. You need to figure out what that might be and do something about it.
