the furry bit accidentally got on my tongue, the insides weren't very sweet and overall, I am very dissatisfied with my purchase. This is the second bad kiwifruit in as many days, and they were bought from different places. should I blacklist kiwifruit?

Kiwifruit is beautiful, but you've got to look for ones that have smooth-ish skin, and are slightly soft to the touch. If it's too hard, leave it at room temperature for a while, and it will ripen and soften. Avoid small, wrinkly, or overly-soft kiwifruit.

Personally I hate kiwi's. They taste like the snot that runs down the back of your throat when you've got a sinus infection.
