I am going to take a wild guess and say that you have this door installed and that is why the door isn't hitting the stop from top to bottom. Sorry to say this but the door has been installed out of plumb. To fix the problem you must remove the trim from the frame, remove fasteners that are in the door jambs to free it from the rough opening either with a flat bar or a Saw Zall and then rehang it properly. Check your wall on either side of the rough opening with a level to see if it is plumb vertically. When you install the Door and Jamb again Check the floor for level, Make adjustments for the door jamb legs if needed so that when it goes into the opening it sits level on the floor by either cutting or using shims. Install the hing side jamb first by shimming the jamb about every 16" making sure that the jamb is plumb on the door and wall side before you nail it with 8d to 10d finishing nails. Now close the door and look at the jamb on the door knob side. You can adjust the gap around the door and make sure that it is hitting the stop all the way around at this point. Shim the Knob side jamb about every 16" where it needs to be and nail it into place. Using a nail set, set all of the nails. (Check to make sure that the door operates properly and make adjustments if needed before setting nails) Re install the trim. Good luck with this project.

Check your hinges...usually there is a way to adjust them to align your doors, but it depends on the type they are hung with. If not you may have to move the hinges and rehang them to align them.
