WIC (depends on the kids), they might also be able to receive assistance from the state in the form of financial aid for school.
I am really sorry for your loss though and I hope everything works for you.

There is the assistance of their mom getting a job and providing for them. We had no dad growing up, (he was still alive then.. he died just in time for my half sisters to enjoy the drugs they bought with there SSI checks).. but we didn't have child support, we didn't have WIC, we didn't have welfare.. we had a mom, who got a job and worked. That is what your children need.. because now you are their only example of how to act like an adult when they grow up.
And I don't say that to be mean.. but like I said.. my mom worked. My mom worked holidays, nights, weekends, splits, doubles.. whatever they gave her.. and now me and my brother work..
My half sisters' mom never worked a day in her life.. she just sat back and collected welfare checks and food stamps and now that is what both of my sisters do.. they work a few hours at a job.. because in this state you have to get a job to keep welfare, and this is what their children are seeing.. and it's the same with my cousins.. the ones who's parents go out and work to provide for their family are the ones who have jobs
