They are legal, as are firearms.
Keep in mind that they are still viewed as weapons, so if you go into a store waving it around, you'll STILL get the cops called on you.

It's not illegal to possess one, even though careless display of a realistic appearing toy gun may get you an intro to the local PD. It is illegal to discharge one in most incorporated city limits.

They are legal where they are sold, but they will be treated as if real. if you point it at someone with a real gun on them you will get shot first.
