i am looking for a motion picture camcorder that has the good quality of recording on tape i know that even most new digital still cameras have some kind of motion picture fuction but i am talking about the great quality of tape ones

1 minute of DV takes up about 1 Gb of storage. That's why most digital still cameras offer limited (30-60 seconds) of DV support. DV tape is still by far the best media for capturing video. Once you have it captured you can use a product like Pinnacle's Studio to render it in whatever format you want. Plus you can edit and add stills, titling, music, voice over, special effects, etc.

none i could think of..... but with SD memory card there are lots of brands to choose from like aiptek, mustek, etc. but they don't function very well as advertised.
One brand that stands out is the nokia - N90 or better N93. It's a mobile fone but shoots good dvd like videos that stores in SD&miniSD card memory, that is expandable up to 2gig. that's a large memory for an mpeg4 format.

no! because the movie uses to much storage, its DV! 30 min = about 1 to 2 GB! u can compress it to MPG or Mpeg to reduce space

i've seen camcorder uses memory card in asia but not in north america though.

i dont think so.. but they make camcorders that store onto a internal hardrive. Might be able to use that.
