My husband and I grow/raise most of our own food. I would like to try to eliminate much of what we can't/don't want to grow. Is there a name for this kind of diet?

Organic....

I like to try and buy "organic" meat when we can. You know, free range...

And we grow some of our veggies, so that organic. When you don't use pesticides......is organic...

Organic? You may also be talking about something called the Live Food Diet where you only eat "living foods" meaning foods that are naturally grown (fruits/vegetables, etc---no meat or processed foods). Is that what you meant?

you're honestly no longer a vegan, no longer even a vegetarian. Dictionary defines vegetarianism as someone who does no longer devour or does no longer be counted on eating meat, fish, hen, or, in certain circumstances, any nutrition derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, yet subsists on vegetables, end result, nuts, grain, etc. Why do you sense the want to label your self in any respect? you're merely a omni that would not devour hen, and pork. Pescatarian is a made up time period with the help of persons who favor to be vegetarian, yet both do no longer have the self-discipline to bypass thoroughly, or favor to sense as if they're making a huge difference for animals(yet are nonetheless helping cruelty). i'm satisfied a minimum of you've shrink out certain animal flesh out of your weight-help plan. besides the undeniable fact that, till you shrink the fish out you're merely an omnivore, that calls themselves a vegetarian.

I've heard of what someone called a "local diet", meaning that they either grew their own food or purchased food that was grown within one hundred miles of where they lived.

assuming you don't treat your food with any unnatural antibiotics and hormones and don't use any pesticides...your diet would be called an organic diet.
