First of all you need to have a civilized conversation with your parents. Dont whine to them that you need your own room that never works believe me. One day when your all sitting together just bring it up just say mom dad, i would like my own room, tell them that your old enough that you need your own privacy and then show them that you are keeping yourself busy with your school work. Also doing chores that arent yours is always good. Butter them up to show them that your ready to have your own room.

Tell them what you told us. You believe that you are a responsible young woman and would like some privacy from your sister. As a parent of a ten year old boy, I can tell you that reasoning with your parents is much more likely to end with everyone being happy rather than whining or getting angry.

Sit down with them and tell them clearly how you feel.
