t is not religion that's causing the suffering. its the splitting hairs among the different sects over the meaning of passages that's causing the suffering. As it keeps people confused and off balance. as to what to believe. Most people will not take the time to do their own research into the questions that are bothering them.

I don't think religion causes suffering any more than a car, tree, or any other non-living object or idea does. It's people that mess things up and hurt other people. But that's just my thought on the matter...

They cause suffering so that they can offer the victims a better life once they are dead if they do not rock the boat in this life, and if they make enough donations to the church.

Religeon doesn't cause suffering. Our rebellion against God and the bad choices we make in life cause our suffering. God gave us free will and we will always make some wrong choices and for that we pay the consequences.

religion isn't the problem its the peoples misconception of what it said. i know what the bible says . Nobody is doing any thing close to what Jesus said to do remembering that Jesus said that not one dot .... would be changed in the LAW and every church has changed it whole lot more than that, don't the things that we do here on earth defiles it when its G-D that said to be holy

It does not cause suffering. Cruel people who have contempt for others, and their beliefs , cause suffering.
