sweetie, you don't need to "make" someone like you, male or female. focus on being yourself. being in junior high, you're too young to know this quote, but it's powerful - "to thine own self be true" Always be yourself. Stand up for your convictions and beliefs. Never EVER let anyone make you think or feel you are inferior. Don't spend your time and energy trying to fit in, take great pride and pleasure in standing out! I'm sure you'll get answers about focusing on your studies, there's plenty of time for boys and so on. These are all true, but it wasn't THAT long ago I was in jr. high and I remember how important it was to fit in and be accepted. Those that choose not to like you, they don't know you. Good luck and have a blast in school. These next few years will be so much fun, if you make wise choices. And if you find that one guy that makes your stomach bunch up into knots, ignore him! Really, it drives 'em crazy!

Well I've been through middle school. I'm 24 now so I can give you some advice. You should always dress for success. Always have your hair done. Draw attention to yourself by sending your self flowers and candy. Haven't you ever watched Clueless? Sweety Love is a Battle Field. Always do your best at everything, be cool. You don't really need to do all of those things, but I remember all the girls who were popular in school. They always had the best cloths, and not to much makeup. Just do your eyes and lip gloss is a good thing. Always go on school functions, which I never went on. Don't miss out on anything, if he goes you go. You'll get the drift, what grade are you going into? Don't say sixth, cause sweety everything will change. Your whole life style will change. You'll go from straight A+ student to D- student. Good luck, most of all just be yourself.

Keep in mind boys don't like to be "made" to do anything. Just be yourself. Being a fake will get you no where. Boys don't want you to wear too much makeup because it looks yucky. They don't want you to giggle too much because it looks silly. Just relax! Things will be fine. If you find one you like, say hi to him...it will be ok.

If it's middleschool, you are not desperate. Don't worry about this crap yet. Reach highschool (and puberty), turn 15, THEN worry about this crap.

You don't need a boy to like you yet. You are only in middle school. Pay attention to your studies and get through high school.

Pfft. Play video games with him. watch movies. Be a little aggressive and don't hesitate to ask them, they don't have a clue either and are just as scared to death.
