Oh, hogwash. Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the victims (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

Interestingly, statistics on supernatural beliefs count the USA on a par with backward, developing Third World nations, rather than among modern, advanced industrial powers.

Ex 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

No thanx

RIGHT ON BRO! And if people would try to think if they were GOD and they had to watch their dearly beloved and only SON go through all that misery how would they feel if people rejected them out of pure ignorance! Just like that sun in the sky HE created that never explodes and never sends off a huge solar flare propelling it at us or out of orbit. Most people simply take far too much for granted. May GOD Bless You. P.S. Too all that are against GOD you might as well get use to misery and agony and loving it.You can't even see that subconsciously you lust for it so much you yearn for it for eternity,IDIOTS.

Oh I see, i get crap for not believing but the fact that the catholic church is one of the most profitable industries on earth doesn't bother u in the slightest. They are profiting off of ur Savior's death, why don't u go B**** at them for a while. I think that is a lot worse than not believing in his existence and not really caring if he died for ur sins. Christianity is just a money making ploy, and Jesus and heaven a good marketing scheme.

But still killed a few of them he didn't like. And by the way if his son went right back up to heaven what did he stand to lose? Couldn't he send him 100 times? Jesus was great God is nonexistent and not worthy of worship by anyone in m opinion.

We need to accept it by not preaching to others and by making sure we avoid the ego-based god that many believe is the real god -- the ego god that believes in sin, hell, punishment, reward, saved, unsaved, judgment, etc. Only Uncondtional Love exists. If we experience that, there is no need to preach or ask -- people will know by how we're literally transformed.

A god who can't even save his own son Jesus. How does he propose to save others.

God could have appeared at the site and stopped the proceedings.Funny he didn't even appeared.

I need a god who defends his true followers at diffucult times. Not someone who hides in fear of evil.If evil is such huge force why don't we worship him instead of this powerless man.

A. Jesus was not God's son
B. The sin that Jesus supposedly died for was something that is actually good
C. I find it difficult to believe that someone who died over 2,000 years ago did it for me, specifically.

Sweet lady, I see your posting has roused a stirring among those who think they are enlightened as to the history of Christianity and its roots. They must have believed the opinions of their community college sociology and economics teachers.

Christianity is not at all a marketing ploy; this did not come into effect until after the Spanish inquisition when state priests told the commoners they had to pay the church for their sins to be forgiven. Christianity, known as only "the way" until the Romans coined the now widely known name, actually fought an enormously uphill battle, as the few original believers were subjected to a 40 year genocide by the roman, Greek, and Hebrew states, or at the time, the whole world. For 40 years, the Christians walked in the unforgiving "desert" of hatred by the world, (see, Numbers for correlation), until the forced suicide of Emperor Nero in 69, a year of great civil war in which 4 different emperors ruled. First of all, if the most powerful nations in the world cannot kill the followers of a religion numbering less than 50,000 in 40 years of genocide, but it grows during this time, one must wonder, how is such a thing possible? It is also not a marketing ploy, because the founders died horrible violent deaths, in fact, on of the original 12 disciples, was skinned alive, then crucified. Have you ever wondered, why the greatest countries in the world were countries founded with Christianity as the religion of the founders and populace?

To those who don't believe in god in the first place, and prefer the big bang, and that the universe came to be from a super condensed cloud of celestial matter that exploded, Where Did the super condensed cloud come from!!!!! Durrrrr!!!! Ooo look at me, I think that a cloud of inanimate dust can defy the laws of physics!!! idiots.

To those who don't understand the concept of why god let his son die, in agonizing pain. Jesus was god incarnate. All of the sins man commits are impossible for man to pay for by himself. If any man is with any unforgiven sin, he is condemned to hell. Abraham was 90 years old, and his wife was barren. He loved the lord, and he asked the lord for a son, and his wife bore him a son, his own son. Not from another man's seed or another woman’s womb, but from his wife's. After his son began to grow older, god asked Abraham how much he loved him, and Abraham said, he loved him so much he would do whatever god asked, and god asked that he lead out his only son into a field and sacrifice him to god. Abraham had his son on an alter, and had already begun the down stroke of his knife when god stopped him, and gave him a lamb to sacrifice instead. he made a promise to Abraham, that since he would sacrifice his son for god, god would one day send his own son, and his son would be the worlds sacrifice, the sacrifice for the world of past present and future, the sacrifice that would have the power to clean every person god created, if they were willing, of their sin.

Many times in the prophecy of the coming of Jesus is made. And Jesus comes, and fulfills every prophecy to the T. If you want to make this crude comparison of why god would kill his own son; if you could rid the world of all disease and famine, and make every person in the world immortal, but to do so you had to kill your only child, would you do it? Would you love the world that much? God was not selfish, as most of us would be. As is goes, Jesus, who was without sin, died for everyone with sin, and suffered their punishment for 3 days, in hell, until he broke free, because even the gates of hell and death cannot hold he who has god in him.

I recently met a woman, so devout in her faith; she never stopped talking about it, and never stopped praising god, even in times of trial. When she was a teenager and still a young Christian, her mom died, and was raised from the dead, because she asked the lord for that. Then Hurricane Katrina badly damaged her house, she paid contractors to fix it, and they took off with her money, a team from my church, me included, went down to help build, and we found her, and started rebuilding her house from the foundation up. it is now being, completely renovated, free of charge. I've seen far too much evidence not to believe.

And to those who think that god does not exist because evil is in the world: There is no such think as cold, cold is the word you use to describe how you feel when there isn't enough heat. There is no such thing as evil; evil is a word you use to describe how it feels when there isn't enough god. Absolute Zero is the theoretical condition of no heat whatsoever, it is theoretical because it is impossible to achieve. No matter how cold or evil it may seem, god and heat are always present, even if they feel in low supply.
